I figured out the scam as she moved quickly to a waiting taxi. I ran to the taxi, and stuck my head in the open window as the cab pulled away, then grabbed her hand with the money. Now the cab is moving and I am bending her hand backward seriously. She throws the money out the window as the cab slows down.

My heart says I wish I had punched her in the face or maybe a more vulnerable spot. My head says I was a real dumb ass to chase after her, moving cab and all, for $80.

As is often the case, head wins.
