I just read the article about the Wandering Aramean rant

It was the first and last time I’ll be visiting that Saverocity site

The blogger comes off as a whiny crybaby, likely trying to pick a trivial fight with someone relevant just to get attention to his blog

Seth did nothing wrong, and Saverocity loses all credibility when it edits and then misrepresents Seth’s quotes

He criticized WA because it was WA that left the affiliate link in his comment to the original post.

By the way, I think Matt might have done more to highlight in the original post that all the hotel bonuses were coming from bonus/sign-up spending on the hotel cards, rather than from normal spending on hotel cards, which is generally foolish. I don’t think WA would have disagreed with that; I recall that WA objected and left near the same comment on Howie’s post at FTG on April 9th in which Howie proposed putting normal spending on hotel credit cards. (Seth was right; Howie was wrong.)

I think Matt has every right to censor someone trying to profit from his post.

My only qualification is that WA’s transgression is very minor compared to the constant, blaring transgressions happening with on other blogs.
