Tomorrow’s post is shaping up to be even longer AND better than last Friday’s post. Maybe six cc conversions this month has something to do with it (one was for my daughter lol).

I am desperately trying to do enough to have a shot in finishing the Berlin marathon…some really strange nerve related discomforts/pain…phucking sciatica nerve….only bothers me at the bottom of my foot, no pain coming down from my hip…Just really strange stuff.

So much hate about Biden forgiving student loans…maybe you find something really nasty out there to be angry about?

So, prepare for the post tomorrow…it should keep you busy until the next Friday 🙂

@ DML: On the IHG points, I was hoping to score that well blogged 50% off “glitch”…but I ended up paying 20k points for a night at the same Toledo, OH hotel I burned 15k the year before…I am systemically reducing these points as well as the Ukrainians are taking out Russian ammunition depots 🙂

@ Carl: I remember in a conference when I was starting out in the financial planning world…an older colleague said something that stuck with me: “We preach long term long term but we must never forget that in the long term we are all going to die” 🙂

This left foot injury is nerve related and it is just the strangest and most frustrating issue I have dealt so far… #developing at this recovery pace it is not looking good for Berlin. Yes, one of the two BofA Alaska Airlines business card conversions this month must be yours, thank you. With three total cc conversions this month I have equaled the cc conversion number from July…I think I am going to get my daughter a Chase Freedom Unlimited card to force a record lol.

@ David: Yeah, this latest issue sure has made me face reality…the recovery speed is just glacial at this point!

@ ABC: I do not use QF, I just use BA to book Detroit-NY trips on AA, they all show up there nicely..at 7.5k Avios each way (used to be 4.5k if I remember correctly). Yeah, Ian Curtis, dude had issues but what a talent indeed! The singer of Fontaines DC reminds me of him. The song “Interzone” is not as well-known but remains my favorite…for some reason I can not explain. Bitcoin early days…yeah. Like my earlier comment above, in the long run we’re all dead. Tried to get my daughter a Citi Premier and she got denied some time ago…after having some issues burning my 3 year life Singapore Airlines Krisflyer miles I am not ready to jump back in yet with Citi being so picky lately. Man United is so sad these days…I think they may be relegated and nobody wants Ronaldo lol.

@ Nick: I think us Greeks like to boast how we are everywhere…there are some “rumors” floating around in Greece that descendants of the Alexander the Great were found as far away as Japan! As far as in Afghanistan, of course they are…so many blue eyed good looking people there. Remember that very famous National Geographic photo (or was it Time?) of that little girl with the blue eyes…She was definitely Greek! 🙂 Did you know that I could see Zeus in Mt. Olympus from my back yard? Speaking about Greece, they are finally left alone to administer their economic affairs, no more supervision…oh boy, watch what will happen next!

Thanks for the Kalash article! I’ve read about them in the past…it’s a fascinating story although I figure the Islamists will eliminate them in the near future, alas. From what I’ve read the latest genetics do not support any Greek ancestry for them. However, I’d be willing to bet their religion has some linguistic cognates with ancient Greek deities. For example, in Hinduism the term “deva” (deity) is actually a cognate of Zeus, believe it or not.

Do you use QF to find AA awards to book with Avios? In the old days I used AA’s award search engine and 12.5k miles awards were almost always bookable with Avios (BA not IB).
Singer of Joy Division, Curtis died at age 23. Sad! I spent some time on the remastered version of Love Will Tear Us Apart. The original, sounds like it was produced in a garage.
Bitcoin….. price will be determined by how many members join the cult. Price correlates with the IT sector (wealth)………. Early days? 14 years with bitcoin, billions of real $ burnt and no real application outside the crypto space (sorry El Salvador). I guess it’s still early days for “smart” glasses despite how “stupid” they are.
My Citi recommendation: get Premier and downgrade to DC a year later.

Silver! For the Pacific Northwest! WOW! So much stuff here. I don’t think crypto is actually gonna make the people investing in it now anything in the long run and so many have already lost so much but the blockchain will be useful for some things eventually. Like you say up above, it is early times!

Hope you get feeling better soon so you can run! Been fighting a bad back thing myself and sure slows me down. Hope you got the okey-doke on that Alaska Biz card through your links. I am busily working on the SUB spend.

Stay cool. Supposed to hit a high here today around 75 so it’s tough times!
