Well, we are talking about Greek soccer here, the real $$$ are likely unknown...

Officially, the "sales price" was 2.1 mil euros. Went to 2, then to 1.5 and finally at 1.4 Mil. BUT...this does not include the current debts...which could be as high as 5 million!

I write more about this in tomorrow's post.

I am also watching on Netflix "Sunderland "Till I Die" documentary about that English team and I am loving it. Required viewing for me as I have had this dream about owning a club one day, maybe AEL. But this means I will need a multi million dollar buyout/sellout from TPG first LOL. If you watch it, you will see Sunderland hired a new coach to turn the season around, Chris Coleman after he revived the Wales national team, that team that ABC's favorite part time player plays "full time" for lol. Chris was at one time the coach of AEL and people in Larisa still speak so highly of him.

Meanwhile, which shitcoin will blow up today?

How much did your team sell for? I just read a thread on Twitter the other day about how a smart person with a bit of money could buy a small soccer club in Europe and use analytics to gain a competitive edge and get promoted to a higher level as a lot of the teams are (according to the thread) not very well managed.

With more than 500 golf courses in SoCal, a perfect match. I thought Florida was more likely for Gareth Bale. And it'll be great preparation for the WC. Maybe he'll play a full game or two (of soccer).

Friday's post is shaping up to be one of the best, if not the best ever!

In other news, if you lose an election please don't attack your driver LOL!

In other a lot more happy news, my Greek hometown Larisa AEL soccer team finally changed ownership today after 7 hard years owned by the most famous criminal attorney in Greece, a well known POS. And it came back to a local well respected business man. We will rise again, we are free of the lunatic!

The troll really enjoys getting numerous UNREAD comments deleted faster than he can type Donald LOL.

To all new Recomendo readers: Glad to have you here, hope you stick around. As with all long established blogs, mine developed two trolls over the years. One had the decency to move on with his life many years ago, the other one still comments almost daily and nobody reads them, including me of course. And yet again, he persists…unbelievable!

I already started drafting next Friday’s post and is going to be a great one imho…ok I am biased.

Meanwhile, the insurance check for the car killed by daughter is in the bank. If you were going to total a car June 2022 was the month to do it, TOP!

Friend’s Alaska cruise trip was totally annihilated due to the airlines superb totalphuckery wow!

ABC: Guess who is coming to MLS in LA? Your favorite part time player Bale LOL!

Thanks for the advice! I do use the Citi points once in a great while on a rental car even though not the best deal. Lately I have been using the Premier a lot more due to groceries and finding I can use that card for 3X at Fred Meyer, a VERY large hypermart kind of place here locally.

You make a powerful argument on the Venture though. I have two cards with Cap 1 from years ago that get minimal usage and are from my days prior to learning the Hobby. Never got any bonuses back then. My US Bank REI card (also minimal usgae, but old) is being transferred over the Cap 1 as well come September so that will make 3 cards with them so maybe if I am gonna make a Cap 1 move it ought to be sooner than later. I will consider it a lot! Not in a rush though as I am looking at a new AU usage with Amex for 20K.

Always stuff going on! Glad the bike ride was good! Have fun!

Beautiful day in Ann Arbor this Saturday morning for...a 16 mile bike ride.

@ DML: I got the invite for that Delta card too. Amazing how gimmicky DL can be! Yeah, Venture X is the perfect card for anyone who just wants one card to rule them all :)

@ David: Thanks for the feedback on these areas, they don't get much play. Is it because there is no Hyatt? :)

@ Carl: Think of the Venture X card as I do as I am not transferring the points out. I am keeping them in there for eventual reimbursements of travel expenses I can not use other miles/points for. For example, rental cars, Airbnb's and/or vacation home type accomodations, independent hotels....and MLB bargain awesome game tickets too. My Chase UR points go almost exclusively to United/Hyatt/Southwest and only do it when I am ready to book (and of course if any transfer bonuses are involved...as the current British Airways Avios transfer bonus which is very tempting). Citi Thank You points partners are not as as strong and Citi is so weird approving cards. Me and wife recently canceled a Citi AA card because we got the 80k Barclay AA cards....will wait a little while before we go back to Citi pastures.Recent attempt for daughter to get the Premier card was unsuccessful. The best money lessons are the ones that were the most painful. At the same time, the pain hopefully was not catastrophic and it was not inflicted in later years...which usually makes it extremely difficult to bounce back.

@ ABC: Agreed on bento boxes here and Japan! There was always fraud in the crypto space...shockingly, it appears to be accelerating A LOT! Maybe a late attempt to squeeze some dough out of it before the collapse. Or going all in on the dip? I guess we'll find out...
There is no doubt Cyprus (especially) and Greece will be hurt with the lack of Russian tourists. Correct on Michael Jourdan....Draft is always a crap shoot. Remember that big shot white Gonzaga player from years ago who got drafted with high accolades, was going to be Larry Bird #2? And totally bombed out of the NBA....I think the just drafted Gonzaga players has the same "aura" about him Of course I could be wrong. Good point on the Chase Trifecta...commission payouts may have something to do with it? ;-)
If abortion and gun control does not bring out the Democratic vote I don't know what will. Anyway, retiring abroad after 2024 election may be in the cards for us...sigh.
