I haven’t done crap yet. I first need to book my wife a hotel night in Niagara Falls, her sister is visiting with her husband for a few days and want to go see it.

So many points to burn…decisions, decisions 🙂

Not sure what we would do as of now….Only have tickets to SJC booked, nothing else yet!

I agree with bluecat here (at least about San Diego). I personally wouldn’t go to Kauai or San Diego in the summer when you have warm weather locally, but that’s my preference. I grew up in Southern California, but live in Seattle now and I basically make it a point to go to Hawaii and back home every winter when it’s dark and rainy as hell here. If you don’t have a real desire to go to SD and are just going to use Fairmont nights, I’d say pick a place you genuinely want to go to rather than making a detour for no good reason.

That said, I agree with everyone else that Kauai is gorgeous. I’ve been to every major Hawaiian island and Kauai is the most beautiful. Very quiet, but lots of natural activities to enjoy all around the island.
