Doc appt is set for March 4, thanks for the encouragement.

Friday post is coming along nicely. Credit card conversions are not. I guess 2 cc sales per month was too much, only 1 in February...so embarrassing.

Time to go on a long walk again, 6.5 miles yesterday. It is not that cold thankfully.

I guess if we can sell enough Gold cards to foreigners you guys we can take care of the deficit and the national debt and rebuild Gaza and...phuck smh.

Hey George,

Don't put off seeing the doc. It's tough to do sometimes but needful. Finally got all the parts of my next trip nailed down, which is good because it starts tomorrow! little over two and a half months. Mostly Italy but ending up in Paris. Yay for points and miles though, it's made this trip much cheaper than it otherwise would be, and even on the money parts, what I have learned over the years has helped me maximize the points I get from my spend.

Anyhow, see the doc, enjoy yourself when you can, post when you *want* to, and do what you wish. Life's too short not to.

So nice to hear via email from a US reader based in Europe who has been following me for many years.

And from a reader who bought one coffee who has been reading my blog since Day 1.

No soup for the guy who unsubscribed from my email list. It's not like you guys get spammed from it, email goes out with a post that appears here. So, I guess it must be my content. Damn it, that hurts still.

1 credit card sale in February and I think 18 coffees. I think I am going to send an email to TBB staff asking what they did the past week. If no reply, it will mean resignation! I did cut the annual subscription to Buffer to cut blog costs by the way. Will soon start cutting into the bone you guys.

Anyway, with Lufthansa going ALL the way dynamic, I mean, come on, the golden era of this hobby is dying. And you would not know it if you read other bloggers who are just pounding the pavement showing how readers can fly for free if only they clicked the shit of their cc affiliate links. Some bloggers and YTubers are going to exit, there are just so many out there fighting to sell to the newbs.

Anyway, I can't believe I am still here. I am tired. I have not started the Friday draft post yet...

@ Vicky: Doubt I will be back at Hua Hin any time soon. Place is nice but way too sleepy imho. And a bit too long of a ride from/to Bangkok. I think Hyatt will ditch award charts and blame the other chains for doing so and going along because this may go down better than devaluing bigly with category changes once again. We will find out soon, no plans to requalify for Globalist until this picture clears. Yeah, with so much going on maybe taking a step back flying around with FAA here in turmoil, along with pretty much every govt department, is probably not a bad move.

@ Carl: I need to go see my doc to see what is going on, I am avoiding it.

Yeppers, simple surgery on one wrist at a time but as soon as they did it, it really was instant relief. No problems since. Talk to a hand doctor and they can tell you about it. Only downside was having one hand at a time basically immobilized, but I have since talked to people who got the surgery and did NOT have to immobilize. It was so worth doing and like the doctor said, I immediately wished I had done it years before.

George, I think you might make it back to Hua Hin before we do. At the moment we are planning zero international travel for 2025. Likely just going to stick to life in Oz unless we find a good fare to Cook Islands. With everything going on in this crazy world not really feeling like wandering too far from the safety of the remoteness of Oz. And I think you are right on Hyatt. Category changes are coming and I imagine it will not be pretty.

@ Carl: I had no idea surgery was in the mix for Carpal Tunnel. Enjoy the trip. Stop by and say hi sometimes between pizza and past feasts ok?

@ DML: Yeah, it will be interesting to find out what really happened. Also, first two class action lawsuits have already been filed.

@ Nick: Last time at the DMV was ok. Did you know that if you use my links there will be no delays at the DMV for next year? :-)

@Sexy_kitten7: I made a request for them to redo that state tax map :-) Expect changes in the income tax landscape later this year. I think that state income tax deduction limit is going up from $10k to $20k but I don't bet on things that I am not 100% sure I will win. :-)

@ Vicky: Let us know how it is if you get to The Standard at Hua Hin. I have a bad feeling World of Hyatt will do away with the award charts. Because they can. So no serious plans to make Globalist in the near future.

@ bob: Great feedback, especially on Chiang Mai, thanks.

@ Christian: One of my clients is in the beer business. They have a full size cardboard of this dude and I have a pic with it. I'll try to find it one of these days. By the way, it did not cause any uptick on cc conversions, still stuck at just one for this month.

@ Resistance: Right (pun intended) on!

@ David: Thanks, trying to take it easy these days. Still can't get past the 4 mile marker (2 walk, 2 jog).

@ Chuck: It was a super low paid fare on Capital One site to get the $300 Venture X credit and then erase the rest with CO points. Ticket was actually issued by JetBlue. First two legs (DTW-BOS on JetBlue and BOS-DOH on Qatar) posted without any issued at all, just weird. Of course the 72 hours case # passed without anything happening. Before she reminded me hanging up "Thank you for your loyalty". Sure Jan :-)

Great blog George. I am curious about your Doha- Bangkok mileage problem. Are you trying to credit your Qatar FF account or jet blue for the miles ? Qatar should be easy - chat line worked every time for me. But curious on why would an airline give you miles/points for an award ticket!
