In reply to bluecat. My brother lives in Sao Paulo. I am waiting to see if Greece makes it to the WC after two game playoff against Romania in November. And then I wait to see if they play in SP. Getting tickets will be very very hard, air tickets and game tickets. Watching from the comfort of my own house may be much better for my pocket :-)

One hard thing for me was to read in blogs about all the single guys or young married people flying to exotic places and always seeming to be able to get tickets when they wanted. I, OTOH, with two kids in school had a much harder time, with the constraints of their schedules. (The Alaska Air $100 companion certificate was a big help to me!) Okay, was hoping to hear you would be going to Rio for World cup (I dont want to discover everything by myself!)

In reply to bluecat. I am too busy to find the time to strategically burn them these days. I just do the next trip, no time to do more. I have done the Big Island and Oahu, so next is Maui. Having the Fairmont Kea Lani helps. Kaui will come next at some point. I like Hawaii. Having to do 4 award tickets sure does not help, can't find a way back! I am going to Greece in December flying Lufthansa Business and Aegean business class. Wife just told me she wants to go back to Malaysia to attend cousin's wedding.There are so many places I want to travel to but not much time with school schedules, 2 young kids, a business and this extra blog thing I started ;-)

I think I am disappointed by your answer to my question of where will you travel…Is Maui really all you got? For a guy that has million+ points and a strategy of “burn ’em”? C’mon, that’s not very ambitious of you! 🙂

I was expecting something like Greece or Asia, to show the kids their heritage. Or Brazil, for World Cup. Maui is cool and “relaxing” but not very culturally different.

Today’s supposed reader question starts off with “I’m an avid follower and have a question that I wonder if you could answer”

You know how you can tell that question is bogus?

Because if that person actually was an avid reader, he would’ve known there is no point in asking the question since the answer to every single question is the one that involves Chase links
