I am not flying Air France then 🙂 Wow…yeah I feel exactly the same about the course of the pandemic now. Remember when in late 2019 there was a poll or something that the US was found the #1 country best prepared for a pandemic? Sad LOL. It is so disheartening we have screwed this up and continue….In the meantime, we all continue to soldier on and say phuck it, let’s roll….and I see why the 1918 pandemic lasted as long…Hopefully with our boosted vaccine shots when we catch it…it would not be as bad.

A report from the front lines. I flew Air France to Paris a few days ago. About 75% of the business class passengers were French, and about half of them just ignored masking. No reprimand from the crew that I saw.

Six months ago, I thought vaccines would help us flatten this thing in late 2021. Now I think we’ll be tossing it back and forth for, say, 3-5 more years. If we get lucky, it might die out. If we’re unlucky, a really tough variant will arrive and kill or at least hospitalize a bunch of us.

The plan all along was to run 0.8 of each mile and then walk the last 0.2. I stuck with it and then I let it rip in the last mile without any walking at all because I felt good. I then proceeded to have 2 donuts, one pizza and a spinach pie for desert because I deserved it lol.

More training this week, 10 and 16 miles assignment this week, it is getting REAL. I am only a little trip or twitch away from going to be a spectator in Athens.
