Naive question,
I was reading “20 Money Moves to Make Before Year End”
And noticed this statement
“Employees earning over $118,500 will get a boost in their paycheck toward the end of the year after they’ve maxed out their Social Security contributions for the year”
Is this correct? Your SS contribution is not averaged out over the year assuming constant monthly /biweekly payment? => If I hit $118,50 in wages in July, my taxes will be 6.2% units less for the rest of the year.
