My daughter is stuck in Kona trying to get to Honolulu with Hawaiian Airlines…it is a giant clusterphuck over there due to some big storms apparently. On the way there from Phoenix, due to heavy turbulence, guy sitting behind her threw up. Told her she must convince her brother to get the hell out of there and come back to the mainland!

Never requested assistance for a traveler before. Like my frail 83 year old mother. We are both starting to have doubts if she can make it and all the news about storms and cold/snow back in the US are not helping. Also, a friend in Frankfurt trying to fly to Copenhagen with Lufthansa for two days now, keep getting canceled. #developing

Good job on the points spending. I’m finding as I get older I am less interested in bothering with keeping track of what is going on with various programs. These days it does seem harder to find available flights and it might be an age thing but I have zero interest in prolonging misery flying just to use points. Especially coming out of Europe, it’s so reasonable to purchase a business class flight for a route or airline of choice no need to suffer. That said I’ve done redemptions for our 2023 flights to Europe, only another 2 million points to go and that’s with no having any new cards for 3+ years.

I may surpass 1.5 milion points burned in 2022…the end is near…
