Ventana looks beautiful. I know Lucky stayed there recently too. But the 30k rooms are no longer available, AFAIK 🙁 48 or 60k most nights I checked.

In reply to Matthew. Why not travel if you’re vaccinated? Everything is “open” and award availability is amazing. I’m doing my second long weekend trip to EU. Awards can be booked on short notice in July and August!!! It’s liberating traveling again. I say GOooooo and thank the mRNA vaccines.

Your blog is my decompressing reading choice on weekends now.
My husband and I were in Chania in July of 2019. A great end to our 2019 26 day Europe jaunt and yes before everything went nuts in 2020. I can attest to Cretan (hope that’s right) culinary delight. What we found surprising are the pastries. We were surprised on the delicacy and were just simply sumptuous given the heat and humidity. We stayed at Domes Noruz and that property was outstanding and treated Marriott elites well.
Stayed at Palace Madrid hotel is 2018 for a ladies’ trip and that hotel was magnificent. They gave us a suite that looks like a wing at a palace:-). That hotel is well located. We walked everywhere and restaurants around the area abound. We even bought wine to drink and bring home from a local “liquor” store.

On another note, been back to school full time with kids for the past two weeks and unfortunately whole class have to quarantine this week. Very heartbreaking since kids were very happy to be back on campus. Hopefully it won’t last the whole two weeks. They can come back as soon as they show a negative test.
