Ok neat citi “hack.” I suppose the terms are ratified at the time of application so it doesn’t matter if you’ve gotten a bonus after the fact. But what really boils my blood is calling this hobby Travel Hacking and then crying foul when you are shutdown or better yet, threatened with legal action. Nothing we do is *brazenly* illegal so why on earth do people call it hacking!?! It makes us sound like criminals tbh.

In reply to Jen. I'm a male, and I call for my wife without issue. We both start off the call, and I say that I am calling on her behalf. The CSR asks wife if she consents for me to represent her, she says yes, and then I complete the call (ask for retention bonus, reconsideration, etc.). Easy peasy.

In reply to Jen. Tried it a few times. In general, I get a rep who asks to get permission by the owner of the credit card before we can go further. And my wife does not want to get bothered. Which does not matter because they think it is me as her name is not gender specific. I am not going to get away with my daughter though, name is Sophia. But she is much better and does not mind talking abt this stuff on the phone.
