At the Hilton Frankfurt Airport again. Don’t understand this company anymore. Shockingly, got email two days prior to stay I was upgraded. At check in she looked at me with that “upgrade what?” look. Showed her the email, always smiling, and scored a really nice suite again. Why don’t they just process them when the email goes out smh.

Fast forward a few weeks and I have tried multiple times to file an EU261 with them. They act as if their payment to me already covered everything (which it may have…I’m no lawyer).

But the fact that there is no obvious way to file an EU261 claim on their website sucks You are basically forced to use one of those middlemen companies that take about a third of your payment. The amount, in my case, is only 200 Euros (before any commission) so it’s not as worthwhile as with your claim (600 Euros++)

Mother is settled in her familiar setting now and I think everyone now agrees it was time and the best solution. Seeing all the ice on the way to the airport was the final nail lol.

Hanging out in the Thessaloniki Hyatt Regency before flying to Munich/Frankfurt tomorrow. And then back to Detroit on Sunday after another night at the Frankfurt Airport Hilton.

Flights were great. She finally realized what difference a flat bed makes as she slept almost all through the flight. It was on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and I must say it was not bad but not raving about it either. LH Business class was food was hit or miss and the flat bed, not sure, felt a little too narrow. Next two legs were on Austrian…they packed every seat, wow!

My running is way off now….Need to get back to normal next week!

Started (finally) doing some travel plans for the first time since my TIA (mini stroke) last November. Sure enough, having a little heart trouble so gonna be sticking around locally a bit longer. Sucks, but you never know what’s gonna happen next, right?
