Just a very quick Saturday post…

I have material but it is too late on Friday night and just felt drained for some reason all day.

So, I will leave it up to you to express yourselves. Anything goes, what’s on your mind?

What do you like here?

What don’t you like? I LOVE constructive criticism! If you take the time to give it to me, I know you care.

What would you like to see more?

Any recommendations on who to add/delete from my awesome lists? Always a good place to start for newbies!

Any burning questions? Perhaps the smart readers here can help you! I am amazed by the caliber of the readers of my blog!

I have this desire to go to Fiji, when is the best time to go? I have several expiring free hotel night certs and, of course, plenty of miles to get to the moon and back…

I do not like the new United award calendar, boo!

My brain is fried for some reason. I could have done an anti TSA rant or some unimportant incident on a plane or find a ridiculous reason to pump you with my (imaginary) direct credit card links…which I don’t have and likely never will…So, end it with some humor as always:

      Maybe do a crowdfunding type thingie coming up with description for each blog in the Ignore list. And keeping swear words out of it if possible lol.

      There is a big soccer game in Ann Arbor’s big house today…but looks like rain my ruin it.

    My question: with whatever the hell United did to the award search, will am award still be available for Singapore miles if it says “saver award”? I was searching flights to Hawaii and one of the dates showed it to be a saver award, but the price was 28.5k rather than 22.5k…

      Ok, send address and money for the shipping and handling “fee” #titanhabits

      I only played with it for five minutes…what a change, wow! I think UA had the best award search calendar, something always came up and could book it without calling…unlike AA where something almost never came up and had to call to book…I think they are still tinkering with it…we shall find out in a week or two how it is…loved the colors!

      The 28.5k involve a connection on either HA or island air to get to your destination (most likely routing you through HNL) the mainland to Hawaii space should be bookable with SQ KF

    Here’s an idea: How about having a weekly piece describing an act, a post, a deception, some shinanigan or another by a blog on your “Ignore” list.

    For example, this week we could have Renée’s posts on Flyer Talk in which he justified using a link that I imagine pays him when he knew there was a better offer out there. His justification? “I don’t run a charity”. Indeed you don’t.

    Now this weekly piece would be easy to write given all the pasta those clowns are throwing around, and I might even be pursuaded to offer a suggestion from time to time. Especially after Ingy finds a new outlet and resumes his 43 part series on how things may not be like they used to be, but they’re are still conversions to be made.

    I was stuck trying to come up with a name for this weekly spotlight. Then it came to me:

      Yeah, filler post indeed….Felt burned out all day Friday…and half day today, looking for that inspiration again…until I looked at my Amazon account. Even sister in law was disappointing…just $1.12 #sosad

      Spent some time at my local ChaseBranch for another easy $300. That makes it $1,300 this year. Darn 1099s will erase some of that!

      Super rain storm all day today…just stopped. Not much going on, need to catch up on my to do list…

    Question 1. How come TBB, the blog, does not keep us up to date on the latest written about Kohl’s deals? This is a travesty!

    Question 2. I know that Commercial Airline Pilots absolutely HATE John Travolta for prancing around in a Captain’s Uniform whenever he fly’s one of his personal jets. Do point/mile bloggers hate it when Scott from Travel Codex posts with a gravatar of himself wearing a pilot’s headset? Watzupwitdat?

    Question 3. Is it OK to say “prancing” nowadays? I know you can no longer say ” light in the loafers”.

    I like to see more of your writing and opinion on various Credit Cards, Offers, comparisons etc.
    I love the 3 Levels of blogs.
    I like to see LESS of the negativity and verbal denigrating of bloggers by calling them “pimps” etc. I believe everyone has gotten your position and feelings on the subject. My personal feeling is putting others down does not raise someone up but lowers the person by making him/her look petty. Think TRUMP. Besides you have your “blogs to ignore” to make your strong statement as to why they should be ignored.
    To end on a positive note, I love the links of things you find. Your recent passport visa like is a Great find as I have 2 citizenships (Italy & USA) and love the ability to compare side-by-side.
    All in all, I coined the statement that your blog belongs to the category of blogs that makes me smile”

      Not sure the blogspace can withstand yet another blog post purely about a credit card or cards! I mean, don’t we have a gazillion of them already?

      I love my 3 levels of blogs too! I think it is my greatest contribution to mankind 🙂 Maybe I should add a “Travel Tools” section in the end. I stuck that Passport link in there under Travel I think…but it is not a blog…so I am rethinking it…as I always do everything..

      Regarding the negativity and “verbal denigrating”: I don’t see it that way. First, I am NOT responsible what others type here! I have mellowed a lot since I started. But sometimes I still lose it I agree. But if you see what my eyes see every day…you would think I am Mother Theresa for holding off going ballistic! I am not kidding! Ok, where was I going with this? Why do you see all these blogs repeat themselves all the time? Take View from the Wing for example. He pretty much does a a round of the same stuff peppered with almost very few new text. Why? Because…MANY readers are NEW, they find your blog and have NO idea of the history here! So, as my blog is about education (one of its three things as its mission) they need to be reminded REGULARLY about what is there so they are BETTER EDUCATED! They don’t know what YOU know!

      I can’t believe you compared me to Trump. That hurts…but I get over it because it is…WRONG 🙂

      As long as my blog makes you smile, it’s okay. I really want to make you laugh more though.

      I am going to add more material geared to newbies. They need more help and they don’t have all the cards already like you guys 🙂

      Anyways, we got a new bike today and rode almost 10 miles and my ass is sore! Thinking of another filler post #burnout

        I like the idea of travel tools section would be wonderful. Like I mentioned, the passport get was great!
        My intention in connecting you and Trump was not an attract on you as a man or your character. Having met you you seem a decent, regular guy. It was the negativity and calling others pimps etc by you that I was trying to constructively criticizes. In the end you ask, and I gave you feedback do with it what you will.
        I hope you do have a travel tool section. The passport get was great.
        My intention was to add constructive criticism not to hurt your feelings. One of The limitations of not having face to face conversations is that points of debate can not be immediately explained.
        It you were truly hurt by the comment, accept my apology

          I was really kidding about getting hurt….I do this every day when I look at my Amazon and cc account anyway lol.

          If you look back…I don’t think it was me calling anyone anything…pimp or whatever. Salesmen…oh yeah! Selling/pumping oh yeah. I am not responsible what others write.

          It’s still…about education. And readers should know that some bloggers are not really trying to help family and friends travel for free out of the goodness of their hearts, they are PRIMARILY doing it to make money! And some are even proud for screwing their readers because “they are not running a charity”. Yikes!

          I am smiling too at Panera drinking coffee with a mega sore ass after biking many miles yesterday with new bike!

          One day I will do the Travel Tools section…You know I move slow, no interns, no staff, just a one man wrecking crew…hoping not to wreck myself too, woohoo!

          LOVE the feedback and appreciate you taking the time. Really!

            i know I come across Travel tools, or things I think would be a tool for me. I am sure others are like that as well. W can send them, then when you have time you decide on the value to the masses 😉

      The Trump analogy uses way too broad a brush, Crap is crap and Buzz has a great nose.

    Rumor has it the new ULTRA PREMIERE KRYPTONITE card the #Titans are pre-pumping will ONLY be available in Chase branches. This means we will never hear of it again…

    (a guy can dream, right?!)

    Meanwhile, Buzz keeps dreaming of Fiji. Unfortunately I wasn’t that impressed. Maybe if I’d stayed on one of uber-lux private islands? Much prefer French Polynesia or even Hawaii (where my heart lives since UH college daze) over Fiji.

    Cold and cloudy today in Paradise. Made lentil soup to warm up but made a couple of blendersful of pina coladas while it was cooking. Kinda defeated the purpose?

    I like the idea of an “anything goes day (AGD)” if only so I can spew nonsense without guilt.

    That is all…
