I am going to make this quick…I hope…Not a fun day being on the phone with the IRS on behalf of a client for three plus hours and talking to 4 people who could not get it done while seeing that we are right, heck we did everything right. So, when you hear screams to abolish the IRS…they are, cough, warranted!
Hey Newbie, you want an almost free vacation and can handle credit responsibly of course (as in being allergic to EVER paying a penny of interest!)? You must study this post NOW: Guide to a Cheap Vacation for Newbies. And be careful where you give your credit card clicks, don’t be a tool!
I have been around this travel loyalty stuff for a while now. And I swear I have heard of many brand names in the industry. But this is the first time I hear of Mama Shelter Hotels that just joined the Le Club accorhotels family. Just six hotels in Los Angeles, Bordeaux, Lyon, Rio de Janeiro, Paris or Marseille. I wonder if anyone has stayed in them, they have a 4x promo until the end of October.
Well, we finally have some rules on prepaid cards! You can read more about them in the Detroit Free Press and The Atlantic. No doubt, this will eat in profits!
So much crap online. So many posers. And then there are travel bloggers who know what they are doing and provide a very high quality product! This is a wonderful post by The Bohemian Blog – Myth & Memory in the Balkans: The “Spomeniks” of the former Yugoslavia
Your must read personal finance post of the day is: 7 pieces of conventional wisdom about money that aren’t so wise. In agreement with these!
Photos of the World’s Most Interesting Cabins, Shacks and Hideaways. I leave it to “expert” travel bloggers to keep posting the same old hotel suites so they can sell more credit cards. Call them out on their crap, TBBon!
I think I may have posted this one a long time ago. Before Beijing: A Rare View of China’s Last Dynasty. What an amazing collection of rare photographs!
15+ of the most creative benches and seats ever. Cool!
The pics just keep on coming, I swear something must be in the agreement they made to get her pics up every freaking day, enough! First, it was the gift cards in CVS, now…dolls, WTF!
They.Never.Stop.Selling.Non.Stop.Every.Day.SellSellSell It is amazing they just keep on selling the crappy 40k Amex Platinum card while staying mum on the better offers, wow. No shame! Is it about responsibility or pure phucking greeeeeeeed!
Ok, gotta go. Behave!
This blog will take a break very soon, hope you do not abandon me, think of my Alexa rankings, come on!
I used to get emails telling me “hey, I will do a guest post for you, all I ask for is to throw a back link” and I was pressing the delete button with such force that I could have triggered my disability income insurance policy lol. Yesterday, please sit down, I got another one that offered me $40 for the same thing or for sponsoring my next post”. Wow, $40…is this how Titanhood starts? I responded with, hey thanks, can you tell me the link you want me to share so I can make sure it is approved by me, I am very mindful of what my readers’ eyes see here! I doubt there will be a response, probably some casino site or something.
And I leave you with this…
Please help bloggers you appreciate & make a positive difference in your life by spreading the word about their blogs, emailing and commenting and using their few $ links, thank you!

From Boiler Room,
“I read this article a while back, that said that Microsoft employs more millionaire secretary’s that any other company in the world. They took stock options over Christmas bonuses. It was a good move. I remember there was this picture, of one of the groundskeepers next to his Ferrari. Blew my mind. you see shit like that, and it just plants seeds, makes you think its possible, even easy. And then you turn on the TV, and there’s just more of it. The $87 Million lottery winner, that kid actor that just made 20 million o his last movie, that internet stock that shot through the roof, you could have made millions if you had just gotten in early, and that’s exactly what I wanted to do: get in. I didn’t want to be an innovator any more, i just wanted to make the quick and easy buck, i just wanted in. The Notorious BIG said it best: “Either you’re slingin’ crack-rock, or you’ve got a wicked jump-shot.” Nobody wants to work for it anymore. There’s no honor in taking that after school job at Mickey Dee’s, honor’s in the dollar, kid. So I went the white boy way of slinging crack-rock: I became a…” travel blogger without any ethics.
So the travel bloggers are slingin’ crack-rock. Selling inferior and highly addictive products (enter 40k amex platinum) to unsuspecting victims who then ask for more. Making more with one conversion than they ever could at their job “on Wall Street”.
Nick @ Personal Finance Digest says
Quality movie right there.
Brenton says
Everything I need to know about investing I learned from that movie.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
There have been many Wall Street themed movies. I think Boiler Room is very near the top…if not THE top. Yes, great education!

Public Amex Plat Business offer at 100K, with a catch… http://www.doctorofcredit.com/american-express-business-platinum-100000-point-offer/
TravelBloggerBuzz says
U know what gets me. The public link has been out. But the pumping bloggers are DEAD silent. And then when they get their affiliate link…the selling begins…exclamation and urgency galore.

BRILLIANT MOVE BY HILLARY…..after watching the Vice President Debate, I came to the conclusion that Ms. Clinton picked her running mate Kaine to insure her safety while in office. Even the sickest of minds would not make an attempt on the life of our next Lady President if it meant that guy (Kaine) would fill in. Makes Dan Quayle look like a good VP pick. Ov Vey, what a nervous nilly and he’s so silly.
StartSpreadingTheLove says
I think I saw Kaine in a windowless white van trying to sell ice cream to kids a the park today. Looks like a serious Pedo.
ABC says
Kaine has passed the potatoe test. He’s qualified.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Does anyone really care about the VP Debate? I did not even watch it. I saw a few clips and thought that this Kaine dude is annoying. And that Pence dude looked smoother…by not answering anything!
But, Quayle, really?

Pictures of Emily are just another evil reincarnation of Ronald McDonald. I hope they will never project into my dreams. Amen to 7 pieces of conventional wisdom except I partied big time in my 20ties instead of maximizing money and will never ever regret it. Best years of my life in the rhythm of techno and substances. And still managed to make some money.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
“techno and substances” yeah man!
MaconMan says
Hilarious to watch you bitch about other bloggers while you too feature the 40k Amex plat along with a whole list of secured cards for people that should not even consider credit cards. Is your strategy to talk down others so people will click your shitty links? Embarrassing to the max
Brenton says
Pretty sure the platform of cards offered by his referral method (creditcards.com) is a take it or leave it scenario. He openly and often says Not to sign up for that offer, while most titan bloggers willingly include their affiliate link while praising the other benefits of the card and never mentioning that you can always get a better offer.
TBBTheDude says
@MaconMaN:What Brenton said.
@Brenton: Thanks man.
Will get back in here when I come up for air…another crazy day in TBBland.
DO NOT USE MY CRAPPY AMEX PLATINUM 40K LINK!…for the 1,458th time, Jeeesus!
TravelBloggerBuzz says
If it was another blog, cough, MaconMan would be banned….proudly.
But not this blog, I appreciate all feedback, thank you.
Brenton says
I just got approved by your 40k offer though. I heard it was the best public offer…
Send me whatever commission you get to offset the annual fee? Deal.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
You are joking about the “I heard it was the best public offer…”. Please say yes…
T McGee says
Is MaconMan related to MarathonMan, his illegitimate retarded love child perhaps?
Mike says
Hey Buzz.
What’s this about a hiatus?
You could take two days a week off, just saying.
dhammer53 says
I promise not to use your Amex link, but I will use the Amazon link, if that’s OK with you. 😉
