It’s Saturday. Why am I here? I don’t know. This blog has become an addiction. So I’ll try to post daily as long as I can pull it off #developing.

I am attending a conference in San Diego most of next week. I have some posts scheduled coming up. Actually I have four scheduled as of right now which is more than I EVER had at any point of time in the history of my blog #wow!
I may have time to meet with any blog readers for lunch on Saturday February 4th downtown San Diego somewhere. I don’t want to set up anything official at this point. I will announce it again later next week as my schedule is clearer.
Conference will be super busy, I do enjoy learning and interacting with other financial advisor colleagues. And of course picking up swag, eating and drinking and stuff like that. So, the scheduled posts of course will not be the regular Buzz posts with the worthy content from the day before as you have become accustomed too. So, when a Buzz post pops up here the info may be a little stale, so please forgive me for that. I think you can handle it as the content replacing it should be worth it.
I need to slow down in February and March. It is TAX time. But I don’t want to post here and not be the best it can be. And fulfill the mission at all times. So, lets see how it goes. If I miss a day here and there, complain to management for a refund lol.
I have shut the doors to new clients as of January 1, 2017. It was an executive order by me effective for the rest of 2017. Of course if I did not have this blog that would likely not happen. Obviously I am not doing it for the money #lol combined with #crying!
I am always interested to learn of new blogs to add to Feedly.
I am always interested to learn of news involving blogs and bloggers. I do my best to cover the field but can’t cover it all as this space has expanded beyond my wildest imaginations.
I am getting to another guest post next, a Greek relative of mine who traveled to Kazakhstan! I need to upload the pics and enter the text around them and edit it. I hope I will be done by mid February. If you visited a place that we don’t see many trip reports of and you want to do a guest post here please let me know! Or any content that adheres to the mission of the blog please let me know!

Have you seen I have not whined about nobody clicking on my links? Because you guys did in January and made it the highest month in the history of this blog, so thank you! And thanks for the Chase Sapphire Reserve which represented about 75% of the clicks, I never loved a card so much that I didn’t have woohoo!
Having said that, The Points Guy Inc probably clears what I did for the month in a matter of a few hours. Do not compare (which I just did to make a point) 🙂
No I am not making this blog a full time gig (even if sometimes feels like it!) anytime in the future.
No this blog has not received an offer to be sold. I don’t even know what the Alexa rankings are and I can’t remember the last time I visited my blog’s Google Analytics page. I do my thing here, I do not care about what most bloggers think and worry about.
I have a voice here, I cover the miles points space and bring you stuff you may not find elsewhere with my entertaining commentary. Somebody called my blog BS filter and I LOVED that! I see my blog as an avenue to finally express my creative self! Deep down I always felt like an artist but I just sucked at playing any instrument and my voice is just plain awful! So…TBB was born and here we are more than four years later. What a journey it has been! I have enjoyed every minute and thank you for coming along. Happiness is in the process! And having an understanding wife helps too lol.
Another reason for the blog is that it is an avenue to share good advice and help more people than I can one one one. I always wanted to have a small practice, do my own thing, have enough time for family and my hobbies (travel and soccer the top two), help make the world a better place and enjoy the ride. I never figured out why people stay in a job they hate to retire at 65 so they can THEN do what they want. Find a way to do what you want now and also be responsible and try to secure the future because at some point you will not be earning a paycheck. Yeah, it can be a tough balancing act sometimes. That is why debt can be so devastating to someone’s life! Because it takes away so many options, you become a slave to your present situation that you may not like! This is why I flip out when so many of these credit card salesmen bloggers keep selling to newbies credit cards that require thousands of dollars of minimum spending…Ok, I better not get started again.
Miles and points have allowed us experiences we would never be able to afford and we are so grateful for that. This hobby has changed so much in the last several years and it is just not the same. There is too much work to score the deals we used to. Maybe Trump can fix that by making it great again by plunging our country to another recession or existential crisis. And no I am not advocating for either, just stating real facts!
Just a few pics from the time we visited Tahiti and Moorea back in 2002 when most of these mega commercial bloggers had no clue about this hobby and then all of a sudden became travel hacking experts credit card salesmen…
Actually, just got an idea. Maybe I will do a separate post with our pics from that trip when I get to it! We had a real camera back then. You know, with Kodak film lol. So just one of my son at the local market in Papeete, Tahiti. I loved that place actually!

I REALLY applaud the executive order banning people working in the administration from lobbying jobs. I need to learn more about it. Like, does it really have any REAL teeth?
