So, AA announces they will cut seat pitch but that does not stop bloggers from selling any credit cards that can earn “freeee” trips on AA, whatz up with that? Anyways, we are seeing loyalty drastically changing before our eyes. Coach Crunch: Driving or Destroying Loyalty. I am a free agent since 2012 #winning
And DansDeals continues to deliver more, and highly deserved, beatings on American Airlines. Well done and here are your options as the industry continues to be Spirit-ized. I flew Spirit recently and I now see why…it is the future of flying #crying.
Pretty nice offer by Qatar Airways to get you to stay in Doha offering free visa and nice hotel deal!
There is a lot of money in them bag fees, like $4 Billion! If there were two things that have survived all these years are…the 25k miles Round Trip and Southwest’s Bags Fly Free. Which one is going to go next? Click my links before you comment #smoooooth 🙂

BLOG BUZZ
This section is for advanced level hobbyists and veteran blog readers & personal rants & stuff
There is a really good direct non affiliate offer out there right now on the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature card. These guys are still playing nice…but one day…they will devalue too in a big way, probably in 2018. Take that with grain of salt or whatever else you prefer as I am NOT a thought leader in anything. Maybe in WTFs perhaps 🙂
Isn’t it just amazing how these bloggers always try to find ways to sell credit cards that pay them? Like every day! If it is not credit cards, it is other affiliate links of course. And then of course only coming up with content that facilitates credit card sales of banks with affiliate blogger channels. Yep, Delta free drinks of course! Hyatt cards for 2 free nights again! Comparing cards…again! Buy miles (WTF!) and slipping in the link that pays the blogger of course…of course it is disclosed in a place nobody can find or bothers to read…because they would not do that right…Yeah, riiiiiight. Anyways, I am getting tired of this crap. I wonder how readers can take this pumping day in…day out #wow.
Mental note: You must insert “Sex” in the headline. Find a way, do it TBB!
Thanks to the two readers who supported the blog (April 29 and May 2 clicks), you know who you are.

Today I slept in! I was up at 4.53 am but I said I will just close my eyes a little more. Next thing you know….it was 7.25 am! First time I am up after 7 am in a very long time. I am slacking I tell you!
Only to wake up to be hit with another sensational headline by the thought leader about something that happened aboard a plane, another headlne of Rene that never fails to shake my head and of course another link to VFTW by the Doc….because out of all posts about AA’s less pitch initiative…he thought that was worth of linking. I would have preferred the “Sex and Free Hotel” one myself but hey…I am not after clicks 🙂
Other than that…it is a very gloomy rainy morning in Ann Arbor…

Except Ingy, that is.
Ingy says
Yup with their 600 credit scores and lack of support for your blog. Yup you guys are winners all right
Use Tbb links. Keep the madness alive!
phil says
Out of curiosity what leads you to believe George’s readers have such low credit scores?
MC says
Based on the quality of discussion in this blog’s comments, I would venture to say that the average credit scores of TBB readers are the highest of any other blog. By far actually.
I hold one of them doctorate degrees by the way and my credit score is almost to the very top.
Emailing you for some advice over the weekend again, thanks for always replying.
Hope you keep this up George. It must be insane but it sure is entertaining and educational. And like you said, it is rarely inspiring too.
Ingy says
Yea discussion like: 1, 2, 3, first second third: very impressive!!!!
How about the plain and simple fact he can barely get 10 approved apps per month from his readers. They either don’t support his blog or don’t have scores high enough to qualify for the premium cards. Take your pick
TBBGroupie says
Hmm, how about
We have had them all and/or we know how to get the best offers, which he always indicates.
Why are you so obsessed with this blog? You sound very childish and unstable, Jesus!
I swear every time TBB thanks readers for a card…you must physically hurt inside. What a sad miserable man.
Ingy says
To Groupie :
Hurt inside? You’ve got to be kidding. He makes about $500 per month which is a decent couple hours for a quality travel blog.
I think you mistake the “sad miserable man” for a blogger that spends a good part of his time demeaning and disparaging other bloggers out of jealousy.
When George quits demeaning others to make himself feel better, there will be no need for me to be here. Its been that way for 4+ years now. When he learns to stand on his own content (if ever) I’ll be long gone.
Nothing has changed. It has been that way since Day One of this blog.
As far as have had them all that’s BS. We’ve had almost 300 cards and still am applying for more every couple months. With his readership he should be generating way more apps if you guys had the credit scores to apply.
There’s an idea: Maybe he should start pumping the secured cards he has available???
DoctorToTheInternetStars says
“What a sad miserable man.”

Apparently expecting a “Thought Leader” to proofread his posts to catch his (daily) numerous grammar errors, word usage mistakes, and misspellings makes me condescending.
But then I also expect an American President to understand the US Constitution, how to govern, and not to demean the office.
Oops, there I go again being condescending!
Brenton says
Yes.
Nick @ Personal Finance Digest says
Wait, I thought you were Spirit’s biggest fan? Shouldn’t you be happy about American’s changes?
And do the feds need to mandate mininum seat pitches?
Ryan says
I’m not a fan of too much government regulation, but I wouldn’t be opposed to the idea of regulating seat size and pitch if UA and DL start to follow the same path. Because if/when that happens, many/most people would have no viable choice left thanks to the gov’t having permitted all of this consolidation.
I hear some people say, well just fly WN or B6 or AS. Sure they are out there and I guess tend to offer better comfort than the tight-squeeze, but the limited scope of their route network makes them less than viable choices for a large swath of the country (WN comes much closer to the legacies’ network domestically).
I think revisiting FAA evacuation cert procedures would be a good idea as well. Recall reading some credible articles that have questioned the realism of the current procedures and groundrules. I wonder if more realistic cert procedures might reveal that tighter pitch has more of an impact. Or maybe not but seems worth reviewing.
Actually the ideal option might be to open up domestic service to foreign airlines – it might amp up competition enough to make a difference. But I realize that concept has a snowball’s chance in hell of happening in my lifetime!
TravelBloggerBuzz says
I am a fan of Spirit flying after burning 5k miles for a round trip, and getting any fees covered by some premium credit card (of course getting exit row seat at least. big seat for longer flights),
Spirit packed my flights to/from FLL last weekend. Very efficient operation. They pump you non stop aboard. Full of leisure travelers. Many obese ones packed so tightly it hurt walking by on my way to/from lavatory. In general, they all seemed content and crew was actually not bad. They even now crack some jokes. Their “be nicer” transformation I think is working. And their financial results are smoking competitors. The marketplace has spoken…they just LOVE “low” fares and they can put up with any inconvenience thrown at them.
A minimum seat pitch mandated will be nice. But not going to happen with this administration.
The old days of us hacking into First Class in every flight are long gone…Soon, that will likely be gone too…
It’s just different out there today…
Ryan says
I haven’t tried Spirit yet – based in DAY so they’re not terribly close by to where it would make sense. I wouldn’t necessarily be opposed to trying them.
As long as there aren’t any minimum size standards for seating, then depending on the trip, I could maybe suck it up with the cramped quarters and the rest of the ULCC “experience” IF I’m paying el-cheapo prices. But the legacies increasingly want to give us the ULCC experience while still charging “full service” prices. I know I’m not pointing out anything new, but it’s irritating.
I have to think that things might bounce back a bit when the next downturn hits the industry, as it always does.
Another item on my never-gonna-happen wish list is for more and better rail options in the US.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
>>>>>>>>>>>But the legacies increasingly want to give us the ULCC experience while still charging “full service” prices.
Yep….
I think by 2020 one of these “ULCC” airlines will buy one of the legacy three and it will be a smooth integration by then…

I think the Doc should link to more VFTW posts so his readers can benefit by content like (after following up this morning with a stupid incident aboard a Delta plan) with:
>>>>>>>>>>>French Woman Flew United to San Francisco When Her Boarding Pass Said Paris. Airline Says ‘Oops’
this is becoming like the tabloid of miles/points nowadays…the Kardashian of blogs….I am getting a violent internal reaction when I see these types of clickbait headlines…
Dear readers, I won’t fall that low, my mother would not be proud of me 🙂

Thank you for posting the article linking bankruptcies and healthcare. This is something you really don’t think about until a major health crisis strikes someone you love. Yes, some health issues can be prevented, but many are things your are born with and cannot prevent. I continue to hope there is a special place in Hell for insurance administrators.
TBBTheDude says
You are very welcome.
What happens with Obamacare, Trumpcare, whatever they call it is…I will be just fine. My wife works for a company that takes good care of its employees. Obamacare has many issues of course and should be fixed/improved instead of this repeal and replace with something non sense. But I just hope that all pre-existing conditions are covered and kids can stay on parents’ policies as long as they can now. These two features HAVE HAD incredible impact and damn it, they are just humane things in a country so rich. Jimmy Kimmell (sp?) put it so eloquently recently after his newborn son was born with a heart condition…
I could go on…
If Trumpcare somehow passes and becomes law…the people who will likely be most hurt are the most vulnerable…which will include many Trump voters. Nothing new of course…drain the swamp lol.

First, thanks to the groupie. I always wanted groupies growing up pretending to be some alternative/new wave band star…Finally, I made it! #callme
Please no trying to make logical arguments with Ingy. He is just a born troll in his own alternate reality with a super obsession with my blog. I may look at some blogs I do not like (on Feedly) but I do it for research purposes. Why would anyone spend so much time in a blog he can not stand making moronic arguments and demeaning the readers here is just…really something, wow.
I wish someone intervenes….As I hope they do with Trump to lock him out of his Twitter account. Just not healthy.
$500 per month? Hey, it is $500 more than planned, every dollar is a bonus that allows me to keep having: Business deductions, free trips, gift cards sent to me (thanks P, too kind!), reader meetups, entertainment and education here every single day, helping people do things right, telling it like it is, no ass kissing….and now GROUPIES….Yeah, baby, at last!
There is more but I am not allowed to say. Hit me up in a reader meetup. You won’t believe what will happen next 🙂
Please no personal insults to Ingy.
