As soon as this item hit, I swear it was posted in several Boarding Area blogs almost simultaneously. Maybe Boarding Area should invest in a writer to do all these standard news releases and change them just a bit so it is not a dead giveaway? Or maybe get a robot 🙂 Oh, the news was that AA will change the upgrade priority to favor the passengers who actually spend money buying tickets from AA #wow.
And the other news of the day was that Chase is already limiting the Sapphire Reserve bennies by changing from a calendar to a cardmember year so no one will claim the $300 travel credit twice in a year. Expect more hits. Next go several categories that now are applicable for the travel credit.
A more severe ban laptop will cause chaos in travel. Not that we needed to be reminded of it so brace yourselves!

Blogs pumped the crap out of the latest “Buy Miles” bonus promotions. When you click on one of so innocent (and not prominently disclosed of course) links they dish out…they benefit. I don’t know the exact $ arrangement. I assume cookies are placed in your computer, yes? Anyone who knows arrangements of these non-trasparent deals, please let us all know, thanks! Don’t buy miles, don’t be a victim. You are just expediting the time for the next devaluation and making some bloggers richer! Why don’t you ask them how they benefit? Go ahead, I’ll wait.

I can’t think of what it’s called when two different tv shows have a joint episode, but fingers crossed on TPG meets OMAAT.
-Think of how tiny Lucky would look next to Brian.
-Also, they could add new characters and do a spinoff for VFTW. They’d film 6 episodes, and definitely air 2 at the most.
-It could be a drinking game, every time you heard the word “hobby”. Yeah, people would die, but they probably don’t have good credit anyway.
-Remember the guy with the question mark suit? Think if Darius came on wearing one of those made of chase sapphire preferreds?

For the drinking game I’d also add “value proposition” “amazing deal” and “lucrative”

You know what gets me with this crap? Nobody ever mentions they make most of their big bucks by selling the credit cards they hawk so vigorously every day.
Also earning lots miles by running his award booking clients’ payments through his own miles earning cards. One year he posted a pie chart where his miles came from and a fair amount were earned that way IIRC. granted some folks with their own business can emulate that, too, but the bulk of regular people can’t.
I don’t believe a word without audited numbers.
And I think the vast majority of his flights and hotel stays are paid. Of course that does not sell as much as “I am traveling for free using miles!”.
I am surprised Bravo but their name on that trailer, that looks like something he pitched them and they took a chance on. There is zero chance that was professionally filmed and if it was wow that’s low budget. I know a former EP of a Bravo show and while hers was corny, they at least had quality shots.
I think this was the first time I actually watched something from that channel 🙂
