When Your Child Is a Psychopath
There are some stories that you just start reading. And can’t stop. Especially if you are a parent. I praise the Lord every day my kids, so far at least, appear to be normal. I could not imagine what some of the parents in the article have to live with. Your stomach will turn multiple times reading what some of these kids do, you have been warned! And there may be some new treatments on the horizon. And guess what? They involve rewards, a word that us in this hobby get way too excited about. Thanks to Brenton and Nick of PFD for alerting me to this article!
If you are looking for some light comfortable reading in your Saturday morning, well, prepare to be very uncomfortable. And thank you to all the people working in this field, I wouldn’t last an hour!
Why Do Colleges Give Out “Honorary” Degrees?
Okay, it is for money and publicity of course. Not shocking. But here is what I learned with this article:
Colleges have been giving them for over 500 years!
First one was given in 1478 by Oxford University to a bishop who was well connected.
Harvard was the first one in the US in 1692.
Yale has awarded 2,805 of them over three centuries. University of Pennsylvania has bestowed 1,722 (56 in a single year!).
Harvard used to grant 2 to 3 per year while in more recent years it has been granting 9 to 10 of them.
George H.W. Bush has 32 of them [TBB hurting himself every time he reads this!].
Cornell, Stanford and UCLA do not give them out.
Kermit the Frog was awarded one!
Hidden Away for 28 Years, Tiananmen Protest Pictures See Light of Day
This guy was there protesting. And he had a camera. And after keeping the three rolls of film hidden until 2012…he converted them to digital form and took them with him when moved to the United States.
“Twenty-eight years have passed, the world should know what happened”
I remember watching all this unfold on TV…and feelings of rage filled me…At every anniversary, the same feelings return.

I usually have a picture or two from the stories I feature. But not this time. So here is a picture of the square in Isfahan, Iran in October 2016. Maybe I will start working on the trip report before a year goes by. I am so busy monetizing without integrity lol.

4 months later and there are two glute muscles that when I sit on a tennis ball they still hurt like a mother fracker. Unbelievable. I need to get back on the soccer court and score some goals!

Why do you sit on a tennis ball? Is this some Greek thing?
TBBTheDude says
Recommended by physical therapist and personal trainer. To work on those two muscles…It is kind of surreal they are still not better. I have now started massages weekly too. And icing it too. I should probably soak it in a hot bath but that takes too much time lol.
I am with Juve today!

1. The psychopath h/t goes to ME! I posted it in the comments when you had the modern slavery article. So unless Nick of PFD is the new Alan H…
2. Have you tried a chiropractor for the glute issues? I’m willing to bet if you found one that does Active Release Technique or functional movement assessment that you’ll get some relief.
3. Chiropractic comes from the greek words cheir and praktos/praxis, which are among the 5 or so greek words I know.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
I added you next to Nick…who also sent me this article via DM on Twitter…It is getting really hard to keep up all this HT stuff straight you guys.
If this site had an Alan H. who feeds content almost every day…I would get him on the payroll!
I tried chiropractors years ago. They all seemed to want to keep adjusting me and me paying them, I was not impressed.
Correct on the greek origins of that word….there are so many 🙂
I just scheduled tomorrows post. It will BLOW your mind!
Preview of tomorrow’s post:
How low-cost airlines started…65 years ago, the future when Trumpism wins over the Knowledge Economy (the horror), get to know one of the biggest con men alive, get a latte with a blowjob by a sex robot, travel to the best buildings around the world, watch the best timelapse video ever posted in my blog and watch an asshole Trumpist look like a fool (easy)…

About 5 years ago I trusted a friend to be my financial advisor. A year later I realized that I would never come out ahead with his approach, and ended up losing about $3,000. Does that mean I should never trust any “financial advisor” again? If you’ve tried PT’s, weekly massages, and tennis ball rolling, and not seen the results you want, I still think it’s worth seeing a DC ART certified http://activerelease.com/find-a-provider.asp
And yes, I am a chiropractor
TBBTheDude says
Entered my zip code and got way too many names! Are you saying all these are good if they are on this website? I see the certification symbols, not sure what they all mean or if I should be looking for the specialist you are talking about. I want to get my glute muscles to feel normal again so I am open to trying different things!
There has been progress…but it’s just so excruciatingly slow. Or maybe I am just not a patient person by nature. There is another PT place my personal trainer likes and it less than 5 mins away from my place, I ‘ve been meaning to do that.
I am just back from watching the Champions League Final. Definitely not the reult I wanted, sad.
Brenton says
Anyone that shows up in the search has done additional specialty training. You’ll want someone certified in lower extremity (+spinal) and then whoever is closest.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Thanks, I’ll check it out.
Alternative Facts says
Fun fact, there are more chiropractors than coal miners.

Just wait until all those coal mining and coal manufacturing jobs are brought back, those numbers will change quickly. That I can tell you.
