I am in Greece spending the holidays with my mother and running around trying to keep my sanity. Don’t expect much here at TBB, trying to keep this baby going…
Millennials Are Screwed
Must read imho. Lots of truth and also a bit whiny as well.
How to Donate to Charity
Excellent read and the graph below is awesome!
Jealousy List 2017
The best articles in 2017. According to Bloomberg Businessweek anyway. Some we covered here, enjoy!
Good Financial Adviser/Bad Financial Adviser
This is fantastic! Please read in its entirety if the subject matter interests you. For some bizarre reason I can not explain…it interested me 🙂 And of course never forget this: Good advisers are true fiduciaries.
TBB Mother’s Cooking Gems
Over on Twitter I have made my mother a star after posting some of her dishes I eat, here is a sample below. Bon appetit you guys!
Ok, the pizza above was not made by her, I bought it. We have pizza night at least one time every time I visit!

Interesting reading over at DansDeals today. I am serious about this.
Just read the comments left by so many happy people on the post by Dan about our presidents first pardon yesterday. Sheer joy. So nice to see kind words about Donald Trump.
I have no idea who Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin is, but he is surely loved.
Brenton says
I didn’t know who he was either, but it seems that there was plenty of bipartisan support to commute his sentence. So not technically a pardon, just a shortening of his time in prison.

27 years for 86 charges of financial fraud.
The Bank CEOs who caused the great recession in 2007 got 0 years.

This is just one reason I haven’t been to Dan’s Deals in at least a year. If the guy who committed all the fraud (not to mention immigration issues, etc) was named O’Leary, I think this might get a different take.
As long as Trump plays to partisanism, he’ll have a winner. Hey, that’s what Hitler did.
Ramsey says
Sam, that is the dumbest thing you have said around here…..no offense

Ramsey-
My dumbest comment? Wow-that’s saying a lot.
Like you, I knew little about Rubashkin, so I looked him up:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sholom_Rubashkin
Heck of a guy.
Actually, Trump commuted his sentence, so he still has all that criminal stuff tied around his neck, but he gets to go home. And he wouldn’t have been Trump’s first pardon anyway:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Arpaio
Rather than leading by moral example, Trump plays cheerleader to partisan groups-the hard right Jewish lobby with Rubashkin, the anti-immigrant gang with Arpaio. Both made the lives of others miserable.
I can’t imagine that you find either Arpaio or Rubashkin to be the most deserving of mercy by the US leader. Our leader.
Trump is not Hitler. But the tactic of lurching to appease one radical group after another certainly is from Hitler’s playbook. It is one of Trump’s most unsavory qualities.
Which is also saying a lot.

Two food questions:
1: Is feta a requirement for every meal at TBB mom’s house?
2: Why the extra cheese for pizza night?
Don’t forget to drink a dark beer for the darkest day of the year, preferably in a basement with some fellow basement dwellers by candlelight.

Ok, went to my team’s soccer game. In a snowstorm! It was like watching Green Bay Packers and the Lions in Green Bay…only BETTER! We won 3-0 and just splendidly, probably the best game of the season so far.
Yeah, we like cheese…
Never heard of the dude Trump pardoned.
Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment you guys…
Still jet lagged, went to sleep at 4.30 am last night…weird!
