We do another update to the world famous TBB Blogs I Like list for the eyes of you dear readers only. No filters, no sponsors pushing me one way or the other. I am only accountable to you and this blog sticks to its mission, see below. Sadly, we lost some good ones but we welcomed back a few good ones, so maybe there is hope. One day small blogs will rule the internet…yeah, riiiiiight.

It has been months since I updated this list of the Blogs I Like. Many things have happened since then. Mostly bad things. We said goodbye to Personal Finance Digest and Mile Nerd has stopped posting every weekday. All is not lost, Milenomics and Travel Summary both came back! I deleted Doctor of Credit from the list only because the site appears to pander to the so called “Titan” blogs that you should avoid because if you wanted comprehensive personal finance advice with as few conflicts of interest as possible would you go to…a life insurance guy selling products from one company? Well, that’s why! DoC will likely be back if this hideous practice (link circle jerk was called I think by Mile Nerd) stops, losing the 3 page views per day from me will teach him lol. I added DansDeals if you can avoid all the Amazon pampers deals and the sponsored posts and just look at the few excellent travel hacking posts they still write over there. I am not sure how long Travel Codex and The Free-quent Flyer will be on this list as they appear to be…slowing way down. I added Loyalty Traveler back on the list. I also added Running With Miles. Integrity is paramount in this space and should be recognized!
In the Travel Category, I made a change. I kept only personal blogs and deleted the other sites that I had which I will incorporate in a new permanent page titled, please sit down, Travel. On top I placed Yomadic which was downgraded from the Blogs I Love list only because of the lack of new posts. I still consider Yomadic to be the best pure travel blog, don’t get me wrong! I added GlobalGaz because I like all the obscure places he visits. The Bohemian Blog has also slowed way down and I thought he had quit but…managed to squeeze another post recently so it stays. I continue to be impressed by Megan Starr, very well researched posts and excellent photography. I really like the obscure places the two guys at concrete and kitsch go to, I hope they can post more. The Norwegian dude at The Garfors Globe continues to do his thing.
TBB is about quality. And authenticity dang it. So much fake slick sanitized pimpy BS floating around the internet these days.
Needless to say, this is MY list. You want to publish your own? You can add it to the comments or start your own blog!
Comment about my list, just keep it civil okay?
TBBon, see you Friday!

Hey Buzz-
Mommy Points says it’s not too late to go to the 2019 Super Bowl on miles and points.
I’m trying to remember-didn’t another blogger cover this a long time ago?
TBBTheDude says
Yes 🙂
Sam says
So was it Daraius who was first to post about ‘Seeing the Super Bowl for Freeeeee’?
Charlie says
Hey, George! Thanks for inclusion on THE list, I appreciate it! Gyros are on me next time you are here. 🙂
TBBTheDude says
Just sent the invoice out Charlie, thanks for the support 🙂
Dml says
It is lonely without Mile Nerd. This will help!
Thank you.
TBBTheDude says
I forgot to add that if any of the blogs in the list today sell out to TPG…they will be immediately transferred to the Ignore list!
So there 🙂
Nick @ concrete and kitsch says
Phew! Glad we made the cut over here at concrete and kitsch! Lots of new content from Albania, Eritrea, and Paraguay on the way and I’m headed (solo this time) to some really awesome, off the beaten path destinations in March. Stay tuned! ✌
TBBTheDude says
I like it when you go somewhere and there are no Hyatts nearby 🙂
Nick @ concrete and kitsch says
No Hyatts in the Sahel, I believe!

Your list is not serious if you leave DOC out.

Oh, wait Dans Deal is in. huh? Talking about pumping with sponsored links and cards…
TBBTheDude says
Read what I said.
Thanks for taking the time to comment.
For the record, Dan never pretended he is doing it all to help friends and family fly for freeee 🙂
TBBTheDude says
And DoC will be back when he stops linking to blog that rape their readers…as in pumping 25k Amex Gold cards when they could just tell them how to get 50k. Looks like he is on a good path as no such back links have appeared ever since Mile Nerd called him out. Lets see if it continues…
At the end of the day, it is my blog and my lists. Feel free to do your own. And thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it.

Does this count as a back link?

Yes

Dansdeals current status is a reflection of the state of the HOBBY. A greater push to direct traffic to Amazon. 3/4 of the posts are Amazon affiliate links. Get people to buy more while missing out on cash back portals. Sprinkle in a few airfare deals and you drown out the exciting but unfortunately rare travel posts.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
My readers can just go for the “exciting and unfortunately rare travel posts”, they don’t need pics and arrows like others 🙂
Gaz says
Thanks for adding me to the list of your favorite blogs…good to see my friends… Megan Starr, Bohemian Blog, and Gunnar Garfors. Have some good travels planned soon which I hope you will like.
TBBTheDude says
Looking forward to trips from places we do not normally see….Noticed a theme here? 🙂
Tan says
everybody looks to DoC first and always.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
that is pretty scary then to lead them to blogs in the TBB Blogs to Ignore list then!
My blog is not for everybody, see my comment above on this topic.
Thanks Tan.
Lynn says
It is your list, your criteria, but I am still disappointed by the inclusion of the blogs not providing full posts on their RSS feeds. It it inconsiderate to fellow travelers, as not every place has available/good internet access.
TBBTheDude says
I hate that too!
But that does not take away from the quality of the content!
I am going to point this out, it’s important, fhank you.
