At every Best of Web post I pick the best reads that blew my mind in the previous week. It can be…anything! I like to be eclectic and despise salesy/clickbait/sameold content you read…everywhere else!
As always, click on the headline to be taken to the original source. Sometimes I insert my incendiary comments on article excerpts between [brackets].
Let’s get back to the about once a week post with the TBB Best of Web links I find for you…
The medical professor who beat roulette
I have posted stories before about people who beat lotteries or horse racing. But roulette, really? I always thought this game was for born losers because…how can anyone beat that? Well, this guy did and his story will blow you away (HT: NickPFD)
The Mystery of the Millionaire Hermit
What happens when you die alone? There is a whole industry that…targets these people! And some social agencies that also spring to action. Lets just say that this article was very educational!
Warning: Story is difficult to read. It may be too emotional for some people who have recently lost loved ones. You have been warned!
The Challenge of Going Off Psychiatric Drugs
Talk about a difficult read? This one is for you too!
Our society is totally addicted to these drugs…this is why I like running…..running away from them lol.
Warning: If you or someone close to you are dealing with this….you may find this a very useful article and I hope of use to realize that there is another way and you can get help AND it does not require these drugs.
The Trees That Sail to the Sea
This one is probably the closest one in today’s post to travel. But instead of humans traveling it deals with trees. I had no idea that there were so many and some specialize in them! And I also had no idea how important these trees are to the whole ecosystem. Wow!
Perfectly Normal, How Autism Feels From the Inside
Amazingly stunning short film about living with autism.
You will learn a lot like I did.
I could be selling credit cards pretending I am enthusiastic about yet another loyalty program in devaluing mode. Or posting something pathetic to clickbait you. But I don’t….It is what it is, enjoy this blog while it is still up and thanks for keeping me company.
And I leave you with this…

GREAT links today! Love the diversity. Hope you keep the blog going, do what’s best for you, we understand.
Wasted more than an hour listening to Drew’s podcast again. I don’t know why I gave it another chance after he ass kissed Gary Leff. And I see Julian of The Points Guy is coming up. Who will be next, Rene? Yawn.
Drew spoke about how important it is to cross link to other blogs. The guy who never linked to you when you have linked to his blog and spoke so highly of him numerous times. And your buddy sending cc clickers to FM and is probably forbidden to mentioning your blog in Drew’s podcast. Even MoneyMoustache blog got an assist!
In the meantime, LH is going dynamic next and Hertz devalues to the bone…No worries, most bloggers masquerading as miles experts will still be enthusiastically selling plastic for the banks.
Hope your mother is doing well. And your Greek Freak pal is going down!

Agreed. VFTW, etc don’t need more publicity. And I don’t understand why Drew feels that he needs to be involved with such. The thing that always made TIF stand out is Drew’s knack for spotting things and ability to present his data and analysis in a useful way without pandering.

An article on beating roulette that makes no mention of Ed Thorp and Claude Shannon? For shame!

Another beat-the-lottery story, I can’t get enough of these:

Where is Sam?
Scott is back! No idea abt roulette…actually no idea abt gambling at all. Just had no idea basically that it too can be hacked.
Matthew: You should get an interview! Hopefully, not after Rene woohoo! FM’s cc page is indeed the best. For the record, I never ever had any direct cc links! I have no payroll either here, can you tell?
Ryan: Yeah…but. It’s a blogger brotherhood. I never belonged, always did my own thing. And I like it that way…can’t complain how things turned out in my life.
Not seeing a Monday post, picking up my brother today….so much to do here…emptying family home with crying hoarder mother is very, well, traumatic to say the least.

This will make you feel safer:
NSA spent a lot of taxpayer money developing hacking tools for espionage. Then it lost the tools. They’ve already done billions in damage around the world, and now they’re being used to attack American cities.

I really thought this was the Maple Leafs year in the NHL. Instead you have the Raptors in the NBA final. Is Toronto a basketball city now?
