We learn of the sites to look at our pre-approved & pre-qualified credit card offers, learn how magically and “suddenly” all three 50k Southwest Cards came back, fly with a drone over NYC, watch in amazement what a mini bar can have for guests’ enjoyment (a vibrator!), look at the 2015 hotel openings, and travel to Morocco and Ethiopia.

View Your Pre-Approved & Pre-Qualified Credit Card Offers – Doctor of Credit Excellent resource! CARDMATCH is mentioned, TBB site has it too! (click on Credit Cards tab on the top menu…we are still too gun shy to post direct link here #facepalm)
Holy Macaroni, looks like the bloggers got all their panties wet suddenly discovering that the Southwest Credit cards for 50k points each came back! It’s especially ridiculous watching some Titans talk up Southwest Airlines when they never fly it as it is beneath them! Anyways, the offers never really left completely, just the affiliate links. So, take revenge and see if your favorite blogger has them and if not go directly to the Chase website HERE! Update: TBB reader BOP (Best Offers Patrol) emailed me to say one of the Southwest 50k offers is on Page 3 in yours truly credit card tab, woohoo! I wish I could draw a big red arrow right NOW, hehe. Shoot, that reminds me to do the Southwest gift card purchases with my Amex Platinum card (I will do two times $100 ) for the 2015 airline credit, yes!
I don’t have accounts in many of these hotel booking sites and especially I am not going to open accounts and then hit you upside the head with my referral links. Why? Simply because I just don’t think they offer a great deal and I do have enough hotel points so I almost never pay anyways! I do use Priceline sometimes which works for me. Anyways, I am going to mention PointsHound for one simple reason: you can get 100 American Airlines miles for opening an account (easy). And this can EXTEND the life of your AA miles. I did that for my two kids but only one worked, the other one did not and no “contact us” button handy anywhere around and no response on Twitter. So…you have been warned!
Bloggers have been posting how you can now link your American Airlines and US Airwarys frequent flyer accounts. What’s the rush huh? I am NOT doing it yet. I am going to hold out and hopefully they can offer me some miles to do this.
Stunning Drone Video Tours NYC’s Five Boroughs From the Sky I have moved on from a Timelapse video to Drone video fix lately 🙂
My Hotel Room In Vegas Came With A Sex Kit … – Henry Blodget meets vibrator in the mini bar at the family friendly Las Vegas SLS. How come no credit card comes up with a 3x sex toy Saturday huh?

24 Remarkable Places To Stay Around The World This is the National Geographic list I posted yesterday. But this link has the photos of each place and it is UNBELIEVABLE! No Maldives crap here!
Our Offbeat Hot List: 8 Destinations You’re Not Considering…But Should – Uncornered Market This is a great list. I always LOVED this site of churches in Ethiopia. I am not a religious person but do REALLY love religious sites, something about their sacred mystique I guess. The church below always just fascinated me. Has anyone been here? I have never seen a trip report to this place. Not sure if it is safe to go…
14 Meaningless Phrases That Will Make You Sound Like A Stock-Market Wizard Here comes Henry Blodget from the vibrator story above. Good non vibrating stuff here…and very funny! Sometimes these financial gurus are so full of crap! 🙂
The 10 Most Popular Investing Excuses (and How to Talk Yourself Out of Them) Yep, heard all of these before. It’s all about priorities.
Hey dude this is just NOT smart!
In other news, today I did a class at the gym. Piyo or something like that. Combination of pilates and yoga. OMG, I felt some muscles I had no idea they were even there!
The material for Blog Buzz is so ridiculously long I may just wipe it out…it will take me for eveh!
And how about those Detroit Pistons, 7 wins in a row since waiving their most expensive player prima dona. WOW. From the lottery to making the playoffs and hosting first round possible?

I highly auggest west coasters wait on the SW companion pass until Jan. 2016. Then you’ll have two years of companion pass use to Hawaii. Aloha.

suggest.
George, give us an edit button dang it.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Good advice..unless Southwest finally decides to “enhance” the Companion pass. I am sure management knows bloggers have been screaming how awesome it is 🙂
Not sure how to add the edit button and not a high priority. It helps more commments and undoubtedly increases my Alexa ranking scores lol.

Turkey has a lot of religious sites, both Christian and Muslim. Istanbul is one of my favorite cities in Europe, for history and the general cultural vibe. You can’t help but get a sense of awe visiting Hagia Sophia which has existed for like 1500 years as a site for various faiths, then go across the street to the Blue Mosque which is 400 something years young. We did a 2 week trip of central/western Turkey and stopped at many religious sites. Also, Greek and Roman ruins – Turkey claims to have more Greek ruins than Greece and more Roman ruins than Italy. BTW, the exchange rate is quite favorable right now at nearly 2.32 Turkish lira for $1 USD. If you’re planning a trip to Greece, surely you intend to follow the path of other miles/points bloggers to shoot some pool at the Turkish airlines lounge and take advantage of the free hotel night stopover? LOL (but seriously, Istanbul is awesome).
TravelBloggerBuzz says
I so agree about Istanbul’s Hagia Sophia which has a significant meeting for Greek Christian Orthodox people. I felt moved inside it, had to gather myself a bit. I need to go to the East coast side Minor Asia where my grandparents used to live before they had to pack their bags in 1922 to move to Greece. I still remember stories as a toddler how my grandparents used to talk about having a nice life in Turkey and how suddenly they had to get the hell out quick. They always meant to return but never did. You can see the bitterness in leaving their home and starting with nothing in a country that was soon clobbered by World War II just when they were starting to accomplish something. So I still have quite a moment of disbelief when I lie in a flat bed being served caviar and stuff 🙂

Was there another Chase purge?

Please elaborate, thanks!

I noticed that a Mommy Points post had Ink Plus, with no blue link. Same for Deals We Like/Just Another Points Traveler. DP and PMM don’t seem to have Chase links anymore.
The Southwest 50K cards were released again, but only OMAAT had a post? Maybe I missed it.
Also not everyone has the Citi AA card links, even though they have other Citi cards. It struck me as odd, I don’t remember the banks picking and choosing specific cards for affiliates before.
Titans unaffected. Of course.
Anon says
Chase has switched the Ink Plus affiliation with miles and points bloggers off. Yesterday was the last day. They are making a strategy change.
State University College of Malibu Adjacent says
Titans appear to still have Ink Plus.
Kumar says
Cant control my laughter whenever i see the word Titan 🙂 🙂 Oh my. Even my manager is looking strangely at me now.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Every blogger deep down wants to be a Titan…It’s that some of us are not willing to go that…low 🙂

George – i tried to apply for Capone venture rewards through your cardmatch link but i did not get approved due to strange reasons only Capone is aware of. Sorry, couldnt be of much help this time. May be next time..
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Call the reconsideration line…I think they must have one too…Capone bank is weird. I still remember when US Bank initially said no for the Club Carlson card and kept calling them until they got tired of me and said…yes #winning

I read Capone as in Al Capone…

Looks like the MMS Friday interview series actually featured a blog that might be worth a damn. Not that I’m going to read it but definitely better than the last 100 interviews or so.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Sorry lost interest when they say they get the scoop on the latest credit card promotions from MMS who expertly inserted a link to its affiliate cards. TOOLS!

Buzz-
I’m confused. Daraius posted a picture of him and his Dad traveling. Is this a new blog requisite-travel with your Dad and file a 12 part trip report? Is your Dad still around, and if so, will you be taking him on a trip to blog about?
Also, the picture of Daraius and his Dad was taken in “Male City”. How does that work? How does going to “Male City” with your Dad square with the Mother-in-Law rule?
Any chance you’ll go on a trip with the troll’s Dad?
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Sadly my dad is no longer around. If he was I would not take him with me and certainly would not be doing multi part reports. I find it kind of awkward for him to go along with the parents of his son’s wife. Or maybe it’s just me…
Hell will freeze over if I go o a trip with an immediate member of the troll’s family 🙂 Wait, extended too!
Now please excuse me while I go read the next Maldives trip report at MMS Part 52b “Emily opens the fridge!”

George, I’m with you in not merging my AA/US accounts yet. I want to make sure my 10k PQMs from the US Airways CC spend last year posts before before I merge my accounts.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
I find it unbelievable bloggers tell readers to link them….what’s the rush? Speaking of US Airways, got me one today in the mail. So sad it will be the last one, so sad!
State University College of Malibu Adjacent says
US IT is so bad, Lucky says link them now so you have plenty of time to sort out inevitable problems. And AA has said there won’t be bonus miles for this. If he’s wrong we’re out what, 500 miles? I don’t think Lucky is giving bad advice or at least advice you would find unbelievable?
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Well, time will tell. I am not worried about losing any because US IT is so bad (it is). I just don’t see the reason to rush!
Andy Shuman says
Not only the list on Hotel Chatter is awfully incomplete, it lacks some major new properties in major destinations around the world. Not to toot my own horn, but I’ve recently done a very thorough job across several posts listing THE most interesting hotels for EVERY major program. Not even mentioning putting the human face… well, not the human face, LOL, but the categories and the number of points needed to redeem a room to make the lists PRACTICAL for our own crowd.
Seriously, man, this so called list is one giant joke. Just saying.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
It’s just another list, I liked the pics 🙂
Andy Shuman says
Fair enough. 🙂
