I wonder what moron comes up with these Best of lists, Jeeeeesus! I mean, this is super messed up. For Best Miles and Points Blogs, we get pretty much almost every single one of the TBB Blogs to Ignore on the list, WTF!! The description of them listed is so messed up…it is funny to read! There are some in the TBB Blogs I like list at least. But…just could not believe my eyes. I think this deserves to be ignored. Or tell the editors who put this list together what drugs they were on and whether they have affiliate links for them…I am sure some of these bloggers will jump on the opportunity to pump their readers, something they do with almost every single post! #barf

For some reason I remember US Airways having a good availability to EU. Nowadays Air Berlin is the exception confirming the rule that AA miles are only good for Asia, Middle East, and South America. However Flying Blue using Delta seems to work well. Star Alliance has very good availability so there is the good value in United, Singapore, and Air Canada. Leaving for a few weeks to India tomorrow, back on Qatar business via Doha and will try to catch the free city tour too 🙂
I’m even having trouble with South America and AA – not terrible but it’s not what it used to be. Sure if you want to fork out 75K for AAnytime Y award one-way to southern S.A. or 50K AAnytime to LIM in Y.
I’ve been looking at FB for some possible redemptions moving over from UR, haven’t pulled the trigger yet but there are some good nuggets to be had with FB. UA still has value even with the stupid multi-city and “Expeditionist Perk” crap (UA should fire their marketing department, who the hell comes up with these names?!

AA award availability sucks donkeyb*lls. I have found EY redemptions to be the best use for those miles although availability on that has dried up as well with constant plugs by the likes of gleff.

AA miles suck!! I’ve had my sign up bonus for a year now, and can’t find good a more direct route from HI to West Coast. Always two stops or more, or one stop with more than 4 hours of layover, or no saver availability. I’m just going to use them for inter-island flights and be done with those miles.
Well at least you can use them 🙂
