It appears that the laptop ban plan has been shelved for good…for now at least.
This is really good: Talking to your reluctant spouse about miles and points. Many have been there, I found myself nodding many times. Especially with stuff like this:
The idea is that some people are kites (travel hackers) and some are strings (reluctant spouses). The kites need the strings to keep them from flying off into the ozone and the strings need the kites to get them off the ground.
I had the collection of pump crap blog posts to post here in a pic…but I deleted them all. I felt like it is pointless, they keep pumping and I make 57 cents since June 12…Something is wrong. Or you guys are waiting for the new month to roll in right? #hope?
I may take some time off…find me some passion…or what not.

He said he could not go on longer and had to feed his family. He also told me he is amazed how I can keep this baby going for so long making so little. I told him I am a moron.

God Save The Points seems to have joined BA, which is – strategically – interesting.
Purely from a business perspective, the key with BA is whether you’d get more that you give.
What you give is clear – half of ad revenue. What is less clear but true is that you also expose your readers, who may only read you, to BA which is not good for retention.
What you get is free traffic to your articles but little traction from those to other parts of your site. It never made sense to me.
You also get the warm fuzzy feeling to have contributed to the House of Miles.
And the chance for a photo op pointing at each other with the main dude 🙂
It never made any sense to me either. None of the BA guys sold out big like MMS and TPG (not FTG hehe).
I wish I had something steady come in every month though and not deal with techie crap.
6 get 80% of the cash (and I imagine 2 get 60%). You get more from 1 card approval than the bottom half of BA I reckon.

@TBBTheDude Apparently it is easy to put a donate through PayPal button on website. There is a thing in PayPal where you can download the HTML code and plunk it in somehow. I’d be in for a few bucks right off the bat if you had that. Holding off on CCs for a while yet to try to get back under 5/24 (from WAY over)
Yes, I looked into it. I set it up and tested it only to see my real name…and that just felt like pure begging.
Looking into either upgrading personal account to business or starting new business account. Apparently, then you can have the name of the business come up instead…
