We fly over Dolomites & Alps, travel to Havana, take a ride in our Honda private jet soon, laugh with Will Ferrell as George W. Bush in SNL and more!

I need your help. Can you give me suggestions for Dallas? I am visiting with Mrs. TBB without the kids and want to make it special. Suite at the Fairmont secured already. Any suggestions on the best restaurants downtown, BBQ, places that are must see/do, shopping areas (for her), unique things? Any comments appreciated, fire away, thank you!
First, some housekeeping. After more than three years I am getting set up with Mailchimp email subscriber list. So far 104 of you have been getting each blog post in its entirety. All those email addresses have been exported to MailChimp. Today you may receive TWO emails with the same post. If everything goes well, the older list will be dropped. If you receive none, let me know…maybe your email address was missed in the transfer. You are NOT supposed to get any other emails, I am talking about spam! Yes I am paying for this help, thanks for understanding. I had heard from other bloggers that building mail lists is where it’s at. It only took me over three years to get there you guys, priorities!
Doctor of Credit has two good posts on the Amex Offers on Twitter. The first one is titled “The Axe is Falling on Duplicating Amex Offers” and then a follow up “Duplicating Amex Offers via Twitter“. If you have time to read only one, read the second one! I hardly ever find a worthy offer here…then again, I am just not into shopping at all and certainly don’t do the reselling thing, my life is complex enough as is!
The Dolomites and Alps. Timelapse video. Absolutely stunning!
Two Days in Havana: The Sights, Smells & Sadness. Really nice report by MilesToMemories.
This is a must read, take a few moments for it! Today’s World written by Bob Lefsetz for The Big Picture. A brilliant contemporary cultural synopsis, wow!
Will Ferrell returns as George W. Bush on SNL and takes shots at the Republican Presidential candidates. Way too hysterical!
Incredible small towns around the world. Many I have not heard before. Bled, Slovenia looks awesome too!
27 Maps that will teach you something about the world. Because here at TBB it IS about education (it’s in the mission, its in the mission!).
Honda to deliver “sports car” private jet. The Flying Acura is coming! Only $4.5 million, seats 7 and has a really unique engine layout “with two GE Honda HF120 turbofans mounted on top of its wings.”
And I leave you with this…
Thank you for making TBB a part of your life, I am honored! Help bloggers you appreciate & make a positive difference in your life by spreading the word about their blogs, emailing and commenting and using their few $ links.

Meant to add, Bled, Slovenia is gorgeous. Photos don’t look real, but it really is all that. Stayed at a very nice Best Western there. Why are they so much nicer in Europe?
plane2port says
I know, it’s almost like a different brand there.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
I stayed one in Instanbul. I wish I had stayed at the Hyatt 🙂
smittytabb says
I did stay at the Hyatt – Grand Hyatt in Istanbul. Used two category 1-4 night certs for that. Then a couple of nights at the Radisson Blu where the location was amazing. And yes, I have also stayed at that Best Western in the Old Town of Istanbul, twice! The other two properties are a lot better there!
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Yeah, that was the BW. I may make a stop on my way to or back from Iran and may use one of my free nights at that Radisson Blu, thanks

Why on earth go to Dallas for a special romantic getaway? I can hardly think of a less interesting place for romance. (Please say Centurion club had nothing to do with your choice.)
That said, at least it is not too far from Ft Worth, where you can watch cattle parade down a street, hit worlds largest honky tonk, and get great tex mex.
also, one more time: Yay, Stanford Cardinals for winning men’s NCAA Dev 1 soccer gold.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Visiting wife’s high school classmate, a day thing. Flights worked out, Fairmont in town, why not!
I must admit Centurion Club had nothing to do with it…or maybe I wanted to go see that nice Thai lady who we enjoyed her playing with my hands 🙂
smittytabb says
What’s your connection to Stanford? I gave birth to a couple of graduates. That’s my connection:)
bluecat says
No personal connection, other than we know a player on the team from my hometown.
Still waiting for people to invest in my new “pick em” soccer investing club. Remember my next prediction : Leicester City, who, btw, just spanked Chelsea today.
Now, if I could only get tickets to Euro Cup matches……

Buzz, I was away last week with the Mrs. off on a cruise out of New Orleans on the H.M.S. Walmart (AKA Carnival Dream). Imagine a cruise where all the folks from the websites showing wacky looking Walmart shoppers, brought together on board one cruise ship. Dis Be Dat. …I felt skinny and fit (which I ain’t) among this crowd…………………………lots of happy, happy, happy people getting their monies worth at the buffet.
PS I was shocked to see what a, how can I put this nicely, dump, Belize is. But the Isle of Roatan, Honduras is muy muy bueno.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Been on one cruise. Carnival Dream. Not my thing. But it was freeeee, thanks CapitalOne:-)
plane2port says
We just got back from a short cruise on the Carnival Sensation. We had a great time, but this was the first cruise that I noticed people at the buffet in pajamas. I also left the cruise with a burning existential question: why do people eat hamburgers and hot dogs on cruises when there are so many other choices?
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Yeah…really!
