We learn about the now famous Etihad Airlines mistake fare, how to redeem British Airways Avios points out of Dallas, how to access Amex Centurion Lounges without the Platinum card in hand, visit Tajikistan and Cuba, and shake our heads with more from Greek subversives etc.

As soon as I fell asleep on Christmas Eve it appears that The Flight Deal found an amazing Etihad Airlines mistake fare to travel to many places for ridiculously low fares. I tried to make it work based on my limited available dates but just could not put anything together. Oh well, there will be a next one. The Flight Deal is in the world famous TBB Love List for this type of reason, please support them.
196 Direct Flights From Dallas That Can Be Booked With British Airways Avios – DansDeals I must admit I like these types of posts. They are not mailed in. And I barely excuse the credit card pumping…
Access Centurion Lounges without your American Express Platinum Card – Travel With Grant Just in case this happens to someone else. Looks like a pretty easy process for lounge staff to look up your Platinum account.
A Wolf Child Guided Me Through Khujand, Tajikistan – Yomadic You can have all the flat beds and suites you want, just give me unique blog posts like this from unique places I only dream about going.
21 Photos That Will Make You Want To Visit Cuba So pretty in its own way. Havana DO anyone? 🙂
An Unexpected Country Has Become a Mecca for Subversive Street Art – World.Mic Some great art but, oh boy, talk about the Greeks digging subversive crap. The country is about to commit the final suicidal act by electing a leftist party whose chief economic adviser the other day started his comments with “I am a Marxist”. WTF!!!
122 Things Everyone Should Know About Investing and the Economy – Motley Fool This is probably the best personal finance link you will read in a long time. I hate the sneaky ads Motley Fool has but the pure content of this post is fantastic. After you read it you will be clicking my links every single time you are about to shop for something or get a new credit card. 🙂
The next Blog Buzz post is reaching ridiculously long levels! To the blogger who mentioned the Etihad fare without attributing it to The Flight Deal shame on you! I have promised to keep it positive around here except the one day per week the Blog Buzz comes out, so I reserve my vitriol until then (on Sunday most likely).
I wish you all can rock like this guy!

I need to drag out and post some of my pictures from Tajikistan. Interesting country… But they do have a Hyatt!
Roger Murdock says
The Flyertalk thread was started on the Etihad fare without referencing the Flight Deal, either. And there’s no acknowledgment in the wiki. Someone who knows how should at least edit the wiki.

@ xp0: Hi, you are golden!
@ Grant: I liked it because I forgot my Plat card and about to head to the LGA lounge! What’s up on the key chains, I recall something about that but can’t remember exactly what it is. If it was a T shirt I would be all over it lol.
@ Sam: Bronze!
@ Ted: Not bad at all. Sometimes I wonder about Etihad…
@ Mr Nice: That would be great. I welcome guest trip reports from obscure places, I am just tired of flat bed, airline food, suites and lounge pics! Thanks for the Hyatt, never really registered with me, good to know.
@ Roger Murdock: Sound good to me. Or maybe it all started on FT, doesn’t everything start there? 🙂
Grant says
I usually buy a few keychains and sell them on eBay. I wonder what else they have that would sell…
Have fun at LGA Centurion Lounge!

The Flight Deal site is simply amazing. I am not only a fan of the way they come up with great deals on time before everyone does, everytime, but also like the additional information one might need to take full advantage of the deal. Great site. Well, they have only Barclays link and some ads for clicking. May be i should support them by at least clicking those ads.

I guess this, taken from MMS:
“These responses are not provided or commissioned by the bank advertiser. Responses have not been reviewed, approved or otherwise endorsed by the bank advertiser. It is not the bank advertiser’s responsibility to ensure all posts and/or questions are answered.”
proves he sold it too… MMS is such a joke, only giveaways and credit cards are left there.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Next Blog Buzz piece is full of MMS “content”….

Maybe I am a little out of the loop (wouldn’t be the first time, definitely won’t be the last); but when did the BA headlines start to sound to something straight out of buzzfeed?
