You know it takes some kind of skill to surpass Wells Fargo as the most hated company in America these days…List Of What You Should Do In Response To The Equifax Data Breach.
There is an internship that pays you to travel around the world. So far so good. It gets better. It pays you to drink gin!
As a film fan, this is some kind of work. Elements – Art film by Maxim Zhestkov. “…many tiny spheres roll around in white rooms”. Imagine watching this under the influence of your _______ (insert your favorite) drug!
Ex Machina is one of my favorite movies in recent years. Yep, it involves a robot. A very good looking robot at that who can dance! Anyways, the movie took place in this remote place in Norway. In a hotel, its name is Juvet Hotel. Free link to the blogger who goes there and does a trip report, go! (These blogs are excluded!).
This is so true…We remember predictions that come true but forget the flops.
When you hear “we don’t have boots on the ground” in Syria, point them to this article: Inside America’s Secret War With ISIS. What a giant mess we have, poor Syria, super sad!
Incredible infographic about the Kowloon Walled City, which at a time had 50,000 residents and it was, well, anarchy! It was finally demolished in 1993. Fascinating!
More robots for you! The craziest photos from China’s World Robot conference.
There are some really ugly monkeys in Borneo, wow!
BLOG BUZZ
This section is for advanced level hobbyists and veteran blog readers & personal rants & stuff
Okay, the heading is back. Not that the blog buzzy stuff ever left. I could be kissing their asses but I don’t so I can whine how this blog earned me 24 cents over the weekend! Come on you guys, you want me to start doing big arrows and stuff like that? Update: Thanks for the Lyft credit dear reader, you are FIRST. Or maybe second in five years…at best!
More blog changes coming. You will see tomorrow.
Amex, with all its problems lately, still rocks in how fast they post the referral points (see recent promos for Hilton Surpass and SPG Authorized User cards).
You can try this I guess…Automatically post a daily Tweet with Marriott’s hashtag to earn 50 MR each day, up to 45,000 MR per year.
I think my wife can go for another Chase card now, I guess I will find out. I think she will apply for the Chase Ink Business Preferred…Calling recon right away as she has an Ink Plus, will need to be creative in explaining herself 😉 Hope she gets FIRST in using my links this month!
I told you I am reclaiming my weekends. I am working on the denominator in that $ per hour blog thingie…
Doctor of Credit link freeze is reinstated after this post. Because, you know, it is good for that blog to always link to View From the Wing because, you know, readers should visit that blog so they can be sold more credit cards and never miss click bait Kardashian type incidents. With shocking videos! *$#@!
Amazingly, more than 5,000 people follow me on Twitter. And no money was spent on ads, Russian bots or, heaven forbid, buy followers. All organic baby!
I should do another “Voices in my Head” type post soon to unload some stuff that is taking way too much space in the hard disk in my brain. About blogging, selling your soul, staying true to your core values, succeeding online, support by readers, monetizing, hobby vs. business, and stuff like that. Oh, maybe I will get to Part 2 of my Iran trip report, my two full days in Tehran…forgot about that! All developing and evolving here…
And I leave you with this…

Buzz-
Over the week-end, Gary posted a fascinasting exposé on Harrison Ford’s house and Katy Perry.
Some people like TMZ, but I want to know what credit card to use when I’m out following the Kardashians.

I missed that, sad! 🙂
Have a great week everyone!
I could have made a post yesterday:
Best Posts Last Week: Every single one of them!

I’ve always been interested in the walled city. 40 square feet per person is ridiculous. A queen bed is 33 square feet!
I think the underground bunkers that are being used in China for low income housing are pretty similar in a lot of ways to the walled city.
Trying to pull the trigger on a Turkish airlines flight from IST-ORD. Any thoughts or recommendations? I’m planning to use ANA for a roundtrip in business for 88k plus hopefully less than $100 in fees, SAS outbound through Stockholm so I don’t get stuck on their single plane that hasn’t been updated (again).
TBBTheDude says
I did that flight in reverse ORD – IST. I really enjoyed it. Much better than that overhyped JAL, minus steep fees 🙂
I have never flown SAS. But I had a Swedish girlfriend in college briefly…she was a psycho 🙂

Maybe the Titans will run a “What credit card should I use to visit the fugly monkeys?” series of posts?? lol
Luckily, or unfortunately, I already have credit monitoring from the Office of Personnel Management breach of all our Federal employee information…which had even more data than what Equifax has!
Can’t figure out why DoC has to always brown-nose VFTW – DoC is a great blog and stands on its own, no need for that.

I wonder what bank will be first to pull the plug on Expedia. How much free advertising that would be. I’d bet on bb&t. They did very well with the clever mortgage products.
ABC says
I wonder what bank will be first to stop working with Equifax. That company may be dead (Randy, should it be inactive?) in a few years.

Congrats on surviving the creditcards dot bomb links massacre! It should help you get more cc clicks. Before you get wiped out too.
It looks like they are consolidating to the volume producers (think TPG and MMS which are owned by Bankrate, what a coincidence!). I think you are right. Makes perfect business sense.
The Kowloon graphic is mind boggling, what a talent!
Lol on the gif abt Pointchaser. We all thought she was going to quit after getting a full time job. Nope!
