Eva Air is now available for awards online at United. Wow, that was fast! Delta is working on more of these partners, cough! I love United’s website for awards. It is so easy even my wife can do it:-) She put together her trip to Paris with my daughter and I just scanned it for “completeness”. I thought about sending her to the Delta website to do this If I did not want to be bothered for…days:-)
According to several bloggers it appears that the $500 gift cards are back at Office Depot! Hiya!!!!

I feel such great relief when I am done with the other blog. Much more pressure there I can tell you that!
I had to eat my words yesterday twice! First, I called out pizzainmotion for smoothly inserting an Amazon affiliate link when…it was NOT an affiliate link! I apologized and updated the post! I need to buy him pizza to make it up!
Then I pushed in my comments a link to a Capital One (former ING direct) savings account that a new customer can open online, fund it with just $500 AND earn $76 bonus (while I earn $20 for the referral). Dan at Dan’s Deals commented that Capital One does a hard pull on your credit report which is absurd. I still remember them when they pulled three pulls back when they had the 100k Venture Rewards card promo (ended up paying for a whole Carnival cruise with that score, trip report should follow eventually). If you are into credit card churning activities you definitely do not need this! If you do not care about the hard pull on your credit and you want to make $76 for keeping $500 in this account for 30 days email me at travelbloggerbuzz@gmail.com immediately (sounds alarming…been hanging around bloggers too much lol) as the account must be opened today July 3rd! I have had two accounts there for many years, one is my main cash emergency/short term savings fund and another one is for son who gets $15 deposited into it per month (his millionaire account) that will eventually lead to his first Roth IRA contribution when he gets his first job…soon!

The ATI JV between AY/AA/BA/IB is so not ZZZZZZZZ. Prices for AY fares prior to the JV were $200-$250 cheaper to the EU. Starting midnight 7/2, prices increased.
Ex:
Prior to the JV. AY’s JFK-BCN nonstop codeshares with AA was pricing around $825 for late Fall/Winter travel. After the JV on 7/2, it is closer to $1,000.
The more JVs that exist, the more the consumers will pay. Less choice, legalized price collusion and coordination are not good things.
Like I’ve been saying…the airlines have the upper hand these days:-)

No personal attacks. I asked a straightforward question (albeit one that myself and your readers already know the answer to). I forgot the exact words I wrote, but this is almost exact word for word to the best of my memory –
“In the June top 10 credit cards list, you had the Arrival card ahead of the Carlson card (which wasn’t listed at all). Neither bonus has changed since then, and at best, both currencies haven’t changed in value (at worst, Carlson’s currency has been devalued). What changed over the last month that caused you to suddenly put the Carlson card ahead of the Arrival card”
The question was “under moderation” for a bit, and now isn’t showing at all
It’s a shame that over the past couple of months, 2 of the bloggers who had good reputation on the non-censoring front have suddenly started doing that. Anyone else have issue with Lucky MMS’ing their comments as well?
Word on the street is that arrival card pays more than club carlson, so I don’t think the theory makes sense if Lucky moved cc ahead of arrival due to the payouts?

If the Arrival card pays out $100 per referral, he may not put a Carlson card that pays him 0 ahead of it, even if the signup bonus is clearly superior. But pay him $75 for that referral? Now he may be more inclined to rank it where it deserves to be
You don’t seriously think that his ranking the Arrival ahead of Carlson last month, and switch them this month….. even though neither bonus has changed at all….. is due to something other than the Carlson cards suddenly paying affiliate $$$
Sure it could just be a coincidence that Lucky just discovered the card (he’s been discovering it a lot since it started paying out $$$). Much like it’s a coincidence that the team that scores the most points in a football game tend to be the winner
