Breath taking photos of Classic Rolls-Royces on a Road Trip Through The Alps
Aeroflot wants to get the heck out of the SkyTeam Alliance because they can not stand Delta! “There is no point in cooperating with them” lol. HT to Online Travel Review. Nothing probably to be done this year but some airlines will not be Koreanized and sit down and take it! I would love to see a big Sky Team partner leave suddenly and join another alliance and leave LOUDLY to send a strong message to Delta that there is only so much crap one “partner” can take!
This should be considered a felony! Food, Wine and Miles shares a post about a caesar salad served in a restaurant at JFK. Take a look at this!!! Mother ^&*%#$#
MILES/POINTS
Hilton now has 4,000 hotels. That’s a lot!
Are we entering a new phase in the Cash Back cards? Tired of registering for categories each quarter? Tired of keeping track of it all? Here is Capital One with its new QuickSilver card offering 1.5% in EVERYTHING. And no annual fee. Interesting development…
I finally received my Southwest Premier Rewards Business Class card. This one took the longest, Chase must be really backed up! A short trip to CVS and a few dentist (me:crown) and orthodontist (daughter:braces) bills and I am expecting another 50k points!
Probably the best post on Reconsideration Calls I have seen. By Indulge the Wanderlust.
BLOG BUZZ
Let me just say a few things about the Comments section. I have repeatedly said that nothing written in this blog is to be taken personally, TBB has nothing against bloggers! TBB reviews blogs and tries to do it constructively. Some people should take criticism better. I would love for all of you to critique and make fun of TBB, please do! You know entertainment is a huge part of what TBB is all about!
To my friend Rick, former owner of Frugal Travel Guy blog: I believe your trolling posts are embarrassing but I will not censor them like you do (sorry, Internet Brands…so confusing!). It is amazing to me how a blog can go from my favorite to the top of my Bottom 10 so fast! Enjoy retirement and wish you the best.
Ariana, here is a tip: If you want to take FTG (the blog) higher you should rebrand it to something else…besides, you are not a guy:-) Imho, I think it is too late. But what do I know about the business of blogging? Great point! As a commenter said a few days ago: “People will still eat at McDonalds and people will still read FTG”. How about renaming it “Pointchaser”:-) To all, FTG is part of a publicly owned corporation. Call me old fashioned but I highly prefer a personal (non corporate feel ) connection with blogs and their owners!
View from the Wing had to squeeze the 10 Best Credit Card Bonuses post near the last day of the month. Does this mean that we still get to read it at the beginning of the month?
As some smart people in the comments already indicated, is it surprising that One Mile at a Time suddenly discovered Club Carlson? I am certain the introduction of affiliate links had absolutely nothing to do with it!
This news release text was posted at Free Travel Genius: “BOSTON (June 28, 2013) Free Travel Genius has been selected among some of the most innovative Massachusetts startups. The site will compete at the Mass Innovation Night on July 10th. Free Travel Genius Editor, David Harelick, is “very proud that Free Travel Genius has been selected to swim in a pool that includes the more established Xively by LogMeIn, non-profits such as Crowd Grant and novel physical products like Mino.” Congrats I guess! This is the former MMS interview that drew the most negative comments BY FAR. Basically a credit card affiliate link farm and a bad one at that! Unbelievable. Then again, I come to my senses, and realize how many people dig McDonald’s food:-)
Well Traveled Mile (another MMS Friday interview graduate?) wrote “Top 6 Reasons Why You Should Get a Business Card”. What is number 2? “You can get one without a business”. Yeah, flat out lie. Why is this crap tolerated?
I am so glad I won’t have to be reading about the “amazing” Lufthansa credit card for a while…until the next promo that is!
ON MY MIND
I took a nap today and, amazingly, no mistake fare happened!
Tomorrow I have a session with personal trainer after a “short” break of only seven months…and I am afraid, very afraid. I hope I survive it! If not, it was fun!

5 orgasms a day? Never heard of foot orgasm syndrome? Well now you have! It’s okay, it can be treated:-)
Which is the right drug for you? Hilarious!

I can see it now…Mom, why weren’t you born in the US so that I can get even more miles than George:-)

I does crack me up that some bloggers was poetic about their ethics, particularly when it comes to encouraging readers NOT to apply for “rogue” links that won’t earn them a commission, but pimp the hell out of the Ink offers that get them a commission, knowing full well that the vast majority of people they encourage to use the link don’t have a business. That said, there are circumstances where one might apply for a business card without a business. Just be a start up. The business could focus primarily on manufacturing points. That’s a business, no? You don’t necessarily need to lie on the app either. Just be a start up.

I think the term our beloved FTG coined for us was ‘zombie’ links 🙂
TravelBloggerBuzz says
When I talk to people one on one of course I tell them about the pluses and minuses regarding the business cards and leave it up to them to decide. I will never encourage someone to flat out lie, especially do it on a blog post for the whole internet to see. This should NOT be allowed because it is flat out wrong. Yeah some say to never lie on an application….but most do encourage to come up with “stuff”. Of course, if this is not encouraged, apps go way down and most will go back to their day jobs:-)
Next up on my reading list today: “Gangster Bankers: Too Big to Jail” by Rolling Stone magazine:-)

That method of making a Caesar salad sure cuts down on labor.
Sheriff Ramsey says
You can see that the salad was prepared with love and care with detail to presentation and it was only $29. Oy Vey!

Like I said, that salad was a felony…Can’t believe someone put that thing together. Totally horrific:-)

Daniels lives just outside of Ann Arbor, very involved in the community and in the local theater scene. An all around great guy! That scene in the bathroom always makes me laugh and…terrifies me:-)

Why couldn’t FTG be changed from Guy to Gal? Frugal Travel Gal. Works for me, as if I cared a whit.

MileValue is going for the buzzer beater on the Lufthansa card. I’m pretty sure he’ll get one more post in there about how the Luftansa card can do your kids math homework and get stains out of white clothing, because it seems to be the solution for everything. He’s like the Barclays reincarnation of Billy Mays.
Also, I’m pretty sure he’s also pushing an inferior US Airways link. tsk tsk naughty boy.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Yep. Amazingly desperate posts. Shaking my head how fast and how hard this blog has fallen…

Silly George – One Mile at a Time discovers a new brand not because of new affiliate links…it is because he (allegedly) has been banned from a major travel organization and has to look elsewhere for someone to do business with!

I am not going there:-)

It’s comical watching MV being having sold his blogs integrity to the folks at Chase, and then Chase leaving him at the altar forcing him to hump inferior Barclay’s products
