It was one of the most boring days in The Hobby. I mean, okay Air Berlin will start flying to Dallas, San Fransisco and Boston next May and June and there is plenty of Business Class award space on them so I guess go for it if you can make plans so far in advance. Oh, I guess after seeing numerous separate posts about rumors that AA will announce service to New Zealand, we finally had the announcement for LAX to Auckland starting in June 2016.
What else? Oh, the earth shattering news that there is revamped Lufthansa card out there. Watch when this baby gets on the affiliate link rolls how bloggers will sell it like the best card since xxxx<—-another imaginary link right here baby. You see I am learning you guys lol.
Or time to get more philosophical about the direction of The Hobby. Give it up?

First first.
Just when plane2port was going in for the trifecta.. you sneak in to ruin her day!
Early on when I started there was so much to learn and I had so many opinions that turned out to be wrong. After nearly 2 years it has gotten boring, just waiting 3 months for the next aor and gigs falling apart in the meantime… So thanks for being entertaining! Also, how ridiculous is it that 1.2 million miles only gets you necker island during hurricane season?
It’s a great sales strategy by Frequent Miler.
What is really starting to get to me lately is how bloggers use anything they can think of to…prolong number of posts. I joked on twitter that I will start finally posting my never ending trip report to Hong Kong with Part #1: “The drive to the airport” only when someone else correctly pointed out I should have started with a post about packing the night before…
I think it is a sign of a hobby that is…tired and beat up.
Zzzzzzzzzz
I guess I’m third. Usually if I can’t get first I sulk and don’t comment that day.
Re: your comment yesterday about paying off your mortgage hurting your churn rate. Don’t worry–I haven’t had a mortgage in many years, and haven’t had any trouble getting the credit cards I want.
Good to know…thanks!
You wrote, ” I mean, okay Air Berlin will start flying to Dallas, San Fransisco and Boston next May and June and there is plenty of Business Class award space on them so I guess go for it if you can make plans so far in advance.” How do you know there are Business class awards? An AA phone agent didn’t know it.
Every day I go through all the blogs on Feedly and saw it somewhere. I did not think it was that big of a deal to bookmark for the link in one of my posts. I would not trust an AA agent to know much unless spoon fed. Use the British Airways site.
YES, YES the bread! I do remember you coming to the airplane galley asking for more bread, Buzz. I forgot what a pain you were about you were about Pain (bread in French, pronounced paan) …… note to all, never ask a F/A for more bread, because there is not “extra” bread boarded, 1 per pax. This means you will be given bread that can back from someone else’s half eaten tray. They might of licked it, who knows.
I love paan…
No wonder that bread tasted bit funny, oh no!
Nice avatar, will you welcome Frequent Miler to Necker Island like that? 😉
Present and last.
Thank you Buzz.
