ON MY MIND
Well it was finally the day for my wife to get some more plastic. Of course I handle almost everything. Her credit is even better than mine! I changed the plan at the last minute to substitute an AA personal card with a ThankYou card which proved to be a mistake as she got a denial. Oh, the horror! I have no idea why, this almost never ever happens! Come to think of it, she may have had one Thankyou card open that she has not used in a very long time. Oh well. Maybe it is aging? The AA business card for 50k was approved after a short phone call as did the US Air card for 35k. An AMEX Premier Rewards Gold Card for 50k was approved instantly. And, again, we need to wait for the Club Carlson which may require an extensive phone call for app to be approved by a human. So looking to add another another about 240k miles/points to the ridiculous amount we already have. Is this better than crack or what? I am wondering if I should fight the Citi denial with a letter. I certainly would not be suing them about it, lol. I am going to try very hard to stay under 4 million miles/points!!
For the summer trip to Canada (Banff Springs and Lake Louise) we decided that making it to Vancouver may be just too much, especially with the uncertainty with wife’s job situation. So I will need to book award flights from Calgary back to Detroit or Chicago soon and finalize the hotel and rental car situation. I have an urgent need to burn lately and no time available to devote to it. I despise the term “miles/points hoarder” but I must admit I am one. Boo me!
