My mind is totally focused on this, this is what I did over the weekend:
I burned another 4.5k Aviospoints from my New York to Detroit return from my Norway trip. So what I have left to book are: 3 nights in Stavanger, 1 night in London, 1 night in New York (JFK or LGA). It never ends! I am asking for help at this Flyer Talk thread.
The 60k Starwood points I won finally showed up after 3 months, hooray!

Travel Summary on “The Vanilla Sky is Falling“. Amazingly, this is still alive! I had no problems at all on two different convenience stores on Sunday March 3 so, in my humble opinion, the game is still on. Individual store experiences will continue to vary all over the map…until one day it will be BANG like OfficeTeapot:-)
If you plan to burn some Starwood points you should do it NOW as the negative changes (higher Cash & Points & category change devaluations) are effective on March 5!

Different airlines. The TATL is on Virgin Atlantic and it was due to a prize I won for a RT JFK-LHR. So I burned Avios pts for the positioning flight DTW-LGA (shuttle to JFK).

In the good ole days, before he started raking in serious $$$ every time someone clicked on his CSP link, you couldn’t go 2 days in a row without having Rick remind you in a post that “your credit is one of your most important assets”. In nice bold font.
It’s odd how he doesn’t provide that reminder in his churning challenge, where if newbie churners “just open these 6 credit cards [insert links] and spend 15K in the next 3 months, they can go to _____ for the cost of a movie ticket”
Your credit is one of your most important assets. But your credit isn’t one of Rick’s most important assets. And if it’s not important to Rick, tough luck if it financially ruins you.
