Yeah that was the first I had heard about the conversion going to someone within 30 days. I subscribe to an app on my iPhone called “Milefeeds”. Did you know you are on there Buzz? It is a collection of Blog feeds of the miles and points type. Well I’ve used it for some time. Just lately, MMM has it rigged somehow that a post by his blog entitled “Card Application Pending? Don’t Worry, Follow These Steps” comes up at the top of the feed every time you refresh it. Never bothered to get into the settings, but I need to unsubscribe to his feed…

I visited that beach in August and when people were walking on top of the ship you could hear pieces of it breaking off. It wouldn’t have lasted much longer so I’m glad to hear they’re restoring it. That island is incredible by the way, but hot as a bastard in August so best to avoid visiting in peak summer.
I need to get to that island!

The Drake Hotel in Chicago was wonderful. Fantastic upgrade to a suite as a Diamond. Cute lounge overlooking Lake Michigan. 50,000 HIlton points, worth it.
Megabus is Megabus. Cheap transportation. Decent buses. Interesting people riding. Like that couple high on crack face timing the whole time (thank GOD for headphones). Returning to Ann Arbor from Chicago on Friday nights you can have 4 seats to yourself like I did…Round trip for $57. Amtrak wanted about $100. Saved me from driving & parking fees. Plus I get caught up on my reading and made a new friend graduate Chinese student studying Accounting. Gave her some life changing advice. Oh, I had pizza at Gino’s, a bit over rated I think.
What was the advice?

I’m not sure how long it takes for your card clicks to show, but I got both Hilton cards (both emails of approval in the last 7ish days) and a friend got the HHonors from you also. She was denied for the surpass because of applying for both in the same day, yet I was approved doing the same thing…
The way the “automated tracking” system works is:
Click is tracked. Then you wait until it pays. Most clicks do not pay, it’s just someone checking it out how it works, times out, or gets instant denial.
When there is an instant approval, it pays. Or at least that is what is supposed to do. Sometimes it pays VERY fast, like within a day! Most times within a week. If it is not instant approval, Lord knows when it will come in, if ever!
Many instances readers email me I got this card on this date, instant approval and then the $$ it never comes in. I have complained and apparently they have had enough of me and now just told me “it is what it is, there must be some other problem, sorry”.
I should keep track of these instances. Maybe we can go in with some other bloggers #hint
I see some clicks from the first week of May on HIlton cards & have paid.
Last click was on May 6 on a BarclayCard.
No clicks at all since May 6, not even drive by clicks 🙂

Recently more than doubled the time before it pops up. Consultant said I was completely nuts!
I added another 30 seconds to it. Pops up at 3 minutes now. I wish it would not pop up on visitors who already subscribe to it but I am not sure if this can be set up this way.
My goal was to offer some extra stuff to subscribers in addition to the blog posts. But I hardly have time to do that. And I already spend WAY too much time in this little fun project that has taken a life of its own for way less than minimum wage. But darn it the fun factor STILL makes me at it…
