Complete Guide to Same Day Changes and Standby Rules. Fantastic resource. By Travel Codex.
Travel benefits versus travel hacking benefits. Great points by The Free-quent Flyer. Or maybe I just love blogs that beat up on blogs pimping the First Friday promotion #TBBnotnicebiteme
What Delta said. What Delta meant. What Delta wanted to say. Good stuff by the Frequent Miler. It would be more credible if people did not give their dollars to Delta but I digress.
Seven Tips for Booking Cheap Flights. Good advice by Travel Codex. Not sure it is good to write on the headline of each tip to just lie.
Great reference post by Travel Is Free on “Best Hotel Credit Card Annual Benefits“. To newbies: Appreciate your eyeballs do not turn blue from all the affiliate credit card links the plastic salesmen of this hobby take the opportunity in each post to blast you with them. As a matter of fact, they are all shaking their head for the wasted opportunity to get more “conversions”—>sales—->dinero for them.
Miles to Memories wrote about our little Art Fair DO in “An Amazing Day & Night in Ann Arbor“.
One Mile at a Time has an SPG contest to win a seat with him to, please contain your enthusiasm, attend a One Direction concert. What can I say? I think this is right up there with the Kickstarter thingie. If any of you were genuinely interested in attending the concert, even for free, I think I should just leave blogging once and for all. WTF!!! Even my daughter thinks they suck!
This video at Vimeo is titled “Aloha Nalu” and it is a totally awesome film (shot by drones) in the life of a professional surfer in Western Australia. I want to go surfing now so bad!
World’s 10 best hotels, according to Expedia. I always scan the list out of curiosity. I gulped when I saw a Best Western property on the list, wtf! Actually, the list is totally underwhelming. Lesson: Don’t rely on Expedia hotel reviews,ย PSA!
Inside Japan’s first “robot hotel”.
Stowaways and Crimes Aboard a Scofflaw Ship. This is an absolutely fantastic piece of work, wow!
And I leave you to ponder about this…

Buzz-
I’m confused. If I only go One Direction with Lucky, how do I get home?
Caroline Lupini says
I actually like One Direction ๐
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Well, you like durian, so not a surprise there ๐

Am I the only one who thinks that Travel Codex’s Scott, who seems like a nice young man, should get another Gravatar without his private pilots headgear on? Scott, we get it, you have a pilots licence, we are not impressed. BTW Commercial Pilots are just a bunch of Ralph Kramdens who went to flight school, anyone of sound mind can fly. I’ve spent many hundreds of hours in the cockpit inflight goofing off and getting a break from the Leff’s of the world, there is not a whole hell of a lot going on up there. The F/A’s would say I have to go feed Ralph and Norton before bringing them their meal trays. Buzz you don’t see me posting Gravatar’s of myself with my Astronaut helmet on do you? No I have too much class.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Fully expect to see the astronaut avatar next ๐

George!!! You just can’t keep yourself from blogging can you? Here I thought you were closing the blog’s doors awhike back and I haven’t even been checking since then. Hope all is well and I am glad the rumors of your retirement from blogging were exaggerated!
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Whaaaat? I have been told that before and I think it was a stupid thing to say I am leaving and then…keep blogging #facepalm. I bet I lost many readers, no wonder Ingy then is not lying about them Alexa ranking numbers. (hint: Get me an update on them numbers dude!).
Yeah, I tried to quit this crack but couldn’t. At least not yet lol. I never stopped! What I did stop was reading all them Titan commercial blogs in the world famous “Blogs To Ignore” list. I now just get OMAAT’s daily digest email, get emails with VFTW’s posts and then I get FTG’s email only when they have more credit cards to sell. That’s about it, all the rest are off my life and have not read them in months. Probably the smartest thing I did so far in blogging. And healthiest by far…you would not believe my sinking anger ranking numbers! Quality of life has gone way up. Still love the hobby but not as much with all the deal killings & less time running around various manufacturing shopping establishments, still traveling (just came back from a 3 week trip to Greece) as much as feasibly possible, business is at its highest peak and no longer accepting new clients. In other words, life is good. Good to have you back!
Next time when it gets too much I will kill TBB suddenly. No more “I am leaving” and then not leaving lol.
Hua says
haha well I’m glad you’re keepin’ on!
On a side note… While I have largely bought into the SkyPesos/ongoing devaluation and have been in a “burn burn burn” mode, I have to say that I was able to just cash in 25,000 Centavos for a 25,000 RT CLE-SEA award departing tomorrow… I am not really into burning for domestic economy awards, but in this case it sure beats spending ~$600 RT.

Burned 25k in December for DTW-SAN…Still can’t believe it actually!

I would have no issues if bloggers who rant against new Delta changes at least acknowledged their excellent international availability in business class. But when facts get sacrificed in order to serve the narrative, this is totally counterproductive. I’m not ranting against Frequent Miler, but rather some other individuals who go out of their way trying to discourage folks from using Sky Pesos.
We are not investigative journalists. We are supposed to be solution-oriented.
If you have a few minutes to kill, go ahead and check Delta J availability to Europe and elsewhere from your hubs for the next June when they are supposedly raising levels. To me, availability was from decent to excellent with an exception of ATL (which has always been like this).
TravelBloggerBuzz says
I stand by what I wrote.
By continuing to use Delta we are sending a message that it is Aok to do what they do. Well, it is not Aok in my book. For my RT trip to Greece I used AA and UA miles because I just don’t have the time to get frustrated again trying to put something together. I am still reeling from my traumatic experience in my attempt to get to SYD with my daughter. They are the lowest of the scum.
With the limitations in credit cards apps lately it is ludicrous to consider cards earning Delta miles!
I feel better now….Them SOB’s insulting my intelligence again having the nerve to sugar coat another stabbing as “good for our members”.

“I stand by what I wrote.”
That makes two of us, LOL.
In the last couple of months I booked (all in J):
JFK-LHR(on VS)-HAM-open jaw-KEF-JFK
JFK-REP and HAN-JFK on Korean
My Delta balance right now is 600 Sky Pesos and I miss them. Don’t even know why I’m fighting so hard. The less-the merrier. ๐
TravelBloggerBuzz says
I am embarrassed to say my DL balance. NO, I am ashamed actually!
