If you have a pulse…this should make you very angry that these phucking asshole marketers still exist to this day hurting people every day. This is specific to species targeting public school teachers. Folks, these are marketers pushing products that benefit THEM the sellers, NOT the buyers! Brings to mind many Titan credit card salesmen in the miles and points blog space who just push the credit card products relentlessly to their readers who don’t know any better and are roped in to them thanks to expert SEO and other marketing tactics. These “professionals” are NOT fiduciaries, they don’t look out for YOUR best interest! This drives me raving mad almost twenty years later after I started my Fee Only Fiduciary firm. You should listen to this guy’s webinar (originally posted at another good blog here) and I guarantee you (again, if you have a pulse) that you should barf all over yourself. Only fellow marketers will think this is brilliant, SAD!

Some lowlights from this video include:

• A call to find “Leaders and Builders” (AKA financial rapers and pillagers).
• “No charge backs, little marketing costs, and minimal drive time.” (Hit the ground running.)
• “All of your clients, in one location. Do it right!” (Like shooting fish in a barrel!)
• How to set up “Lunch and Learns” that are “big on data and will allow you to have summers off just like the teachers!” (Eat lunch and learn how YOU will finance the annuity salesperson’s retirement.)
• This business is a “recession-proof -business will increase during these times.” (There’s nothing like preying on people’s fears during the worst possible moments to generate commissions.)

It gets MUCH worse from there…

In 2017 it seems that everyone is in everyone else’s business, and the list foreshadows the coming battles as various industries, and the titans who captain them, increasingly weave together into one.

The Many Virtues of Simplicity

Okay, this edition of TBB’s Best of the Web is more about personal finance it appears. I have always been a big fan of keeping it simple. Advice does NOT have to be complicated; on the contrary, the best advice is simple to understand. But so hard to administer and, this is important, to make people change their behaviors! Must read imho. Here are eight reasons listed:

First, let me just say I LOVED the film. May be a bit slow but it is a giant feast for the eyes! And of course, I am telling you, robots robots robots everywhere!
