TBB Blog Mission: To Entertain. Educate. Inspire. In That Order!
I got home right from the Phoenix #WestCoastDO after midnight on Sunday only to find my cable modem completely dead. Certainly not the way I wanted to start my week! I started writing late at night some thoughts about the meeting and then I had the brilliant idea to save the file in Dropbox so I can access it at Panera in the morning. Well, here I am at Panera in the morning and, in another legendary brilliant TBB moment, the file is NOT in Dropbox as there is no %$#@ing internet at home and can’t sync with Dropbox!ย So….TBB is down momentarily and all staff (of one) apologize for you and us (me) not getting your fix this morning because to me at least this blog has become an addiction.
To all I met in Phoenix: It was an honor!ย And I had a blast! To the guy with the stories about growing pot legally…all I could think was how I could take it higher by, cough, 5x ing it lol.
Please pray that the Comcast cable guy shows up between 2 and 4 pm today.
I wish you all have a better start to your week!
Self punishment to not push our links but please don’t let that stop you!
I plan to publish the #WestCoastDO review as soon as feasibly possible! In the meantime, I need to catch up on everything else…from my satellite office at Panera.
How about looking at some ridiculous fortune cookie messages perhaps? You know you are pretending to work like the others in the office on Monday mornings…

Some excuse, Kimo Sabe.

I could have posted some stupid video instead ๐
Phucking Comcast torturing me…
TBB will be back!

Why not spend your time renaming “Blogs I Ignore” to the more accurate and equally simple “Blogs to Ignore” or “Blogs to Avoid?”
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Yes, that is way over due to do. Which means I will get to it sooner rather than later. Sooner can be TBB like time…sometime in 2014!

Gosh…I totally picked you as a fiber guy, not cable. The horror! ๐
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Lol…good one!

Just be thankful you are still not here in Greece. “Between 2-4” means I might see the cable guy on Saturday. Still waiting for the plumber who told me he was on the way over – 7 months ago. ๐
TravelBloggerBuzz says
I know exactly what you mean. The Greek prime minister before the last election promised free wifi for all. May happen in the next century!
Scott says
Um, why don’t you just go to Staples and buy a new modem instead? It’s just a easy swap and then you own the device for a one-time charge versus renting from Comcast each month. Just some free financial advice….

Putting it together and following tech instructions is not my forte…
Actually Comcast has been good to me over 20 years. These disturbances have been very rare!

Yeesh, George โ there is nothing to it.
I just recently installed a new modem AND a new router; and I use the service offered by Comcast…
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Comcast guy came and I have this spiffy looking cable modem now…all is good! Until it goes that is. I had one baby, my first one, that I swear lasted for a good 10 years!
I have been a Comcast customer for internet since it was…mediaone.net ๐
Brian Cohen says
I had MediaOne also before Comcast…
…and before MediaOne, I had Wometco…
…and no, I did not change companies. These changes were all through acquisitions…
TravelBloggerBuzz says
I remember when I got Mediaone…had moved up from dial up…I thought my life just got an upgrade ๐

Good luck,
I wish I had fiber here…Comcast can be a challenge.
Cheers,
PedroNY

Ann Arbor was going to be one of those Google Fiber cities…I voted often…apparently not often enough ๐
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Speaking of fiber, I had an AT&T sales person call me about fiber today! Not going to risk it…
smittytabb says
I hate Comcast. Doesn’t everyone?
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Yes it appears so…
But overall the high speed internet has worked pretty darn good over 20 years for me. I would say probalby less than 10 times in 20 years I had an issue like this where I needed to wait. Let’s see how today goes…
