Sometimes you can pull up the pay-walled article using Archive.is site.

The Untold Story of Sushi in America
This will shock you! It sure shocked me and sushi will not taste the same now. And I love sushi so if you want to still love eating sushi you may want to skip this. I had NO idea about this history. Involves religious cults and a bunch of loser followers who follow blindly charismatic individuals who take them for a ride. And their families for life. Ir is a really sad tale. Anyway, brace for one of the most amazing reads I have encountered lately, leads a Best of Web TBB post so deservedly!
Marine Traffic
A map of all the boat vessels out there. You can zoom in a particular location and find that ship or yacht that just passed by wherever you are. And click on it and bring up all kinds of info about it, even a picture! I was going to have a contest here to find TBB’s yacht but since I can’t even afford one boat life jacket from the earnings from blogging here I decided against it lol.
The Stunning Grandeur of Soviet-Era Metros
Amazingly stunning photography. The Soviet era left at least something to be proud of I guess…
‘They Did Everything, But Nothing Could Ever Save Him’
This is a really sad tragic tale of Colt Brennan, Hawaii’s Heisman Trophy nominee. Reading this tragic story of drug addiction you…just felt the pain. I hope one thing that stuck with my kids is the “Never do drugs” advice I inflicted upon them for years…I feel so awful for parents going through this, tragic all around…
Serendipitous Shots Capture the Unexpected Everyday Humor of New York City’s Streets
This article features the street photography of Eric Kogan. And I loved it so much it made a Best of Web post and I think you will love it too…if you are into street photography, enjoy! You can find his work HERE.

Posted this while eating breakfast at the Frankfurt Hilton Airport.
Replying to comments and keeping up the blog posts here will get increasingly more difficult.
Yes, the Capital One Venture X card is now available with my links. Good luck and thank you for the support.
No upgrade here, leaning towards dropping my Amex Aspire card, Gold is fine. Of course we knew that but needed another reminder I guess. I will try the Hilton Garden Inn next door next time, especially with the lounge closed.
Getting into Athens late tonight. Greek high school friend is running the Athens Marathon too. We used to be mega smokers back then. And we have not smoked in years and been running and we look so much younger than all of our other classmates LOL.
In the meantime, Greece Covid cases hit another all time high every day wow!

The Hilton Garden in.n is perfectly fine for just a night. COVID rates keep going up in Greece and many parts of EU. EU tends to be a few months ahead of the US.
And for all the climate deniers, looking at the temperature over the last 25000 years, this doesn’t look like a “natural” temperature fluctuation in the last 200 years.

Dang! You take care of us readers even while on your way to see Mom and to run the Marathon? You are a Prince Among Men!
Thanks for the good stuff to read (Already read the one about Colt and it IS sad) and BEST OF LUCK in your run!

The Athens Grand Hyatt is very nice. Absolute craziest time to be in hotspot Greece right now…if I don’t get Covid while I am here I think I would be fine…

And just to think how well Greece did last year… better than most in Europe. Hard to blame them, though. No one can afford staying close forever. Hopefully, the vaccines and new medications will stop this scourge soon.
About metro stations in the former USSR, oh yes! New stations are all business, but older ones were built when labor was cheap and prestige priceless, and they’re stunning indeed. Monumental and beautiful, and not just in Moscow. You can walk there like in a museum (just not in rush hour).

“In the whole scheme of things that matter, Aaron Rodgers ranks somewhat lower than the Detroit Lions. He’s a winner that has become a loser…” Ouch!

TBB, thought of you when I read the Lions jab.

Finished the Athens Marathon 30 minutes faster than the 2019 Detroit Marathon. MUCH tougher course, hills felt monstrous! Been camping in my room at the Hilton resting and going all out in the breakfast. Going to circle back in the blog while enjoying Cloud 9.
What a feeling to finish the original Marathon, especially after such a difficult year dealing with injuries and physical therapy sessions!

A great finish time all while wack-a-mole’ing the troll comments on the blog. Congratulations to you!
