Here we go with another update in the web’s most reliable Blog Review Lists! We have added Personal Finance blogs we like, hooray!

Well, it has been a while and it was time to review the TBB Blog Review Lists again.
Allow me to add that these lists are MY own personal lists. Nothing scientific here. I have been around the hobby and have been reading all the blogs since they all started so I think I have a pretty good idea what is worthy of your time or not.
Blogs I Love will be reserved for special blogs/sites that almost every single of their posts makes me smile. We have one change here. Travel is Free was relegated to the Blogs I Like list because, well, I just don’t feel it deserves the special Love status anymore. Still, I think it remains the best miles/points blogs out there. But I have noticed a slowdown in the last several months, therefore the change.
The other three remain here but I am getting really concerned that Yomadic may not have the intention to keep blogging as he appears to be focusing on arranging trips lately. Maybe one day I can go to one of them but…who will blog for you here, I don’t want to abandon you ๐
I decided to delete the narrative descriptions of the blogs in the Like list. I know some of you will not like it. But, you know, things change and trying to make sure I have that narrative updated as well takes a toll. And I am trying to simplify our life and, extending that thought, I want you to also simplify your life by focusing on less blogs worthy of your time.
Bottom line about the Like list is that some were deleted since none or barely any posts made into a TBB Buzz post. Some also were deleted because the target audience is very targeted.
I also deleted the chronology of additions/deletions to the list. So, the latest Liked blogs will always appear in the list.
I also added some categories to make these lists more useful, including a Personal Finance Category which will be updated more regularly in the coming months with blogs and some writers I like. This is what I do for a living and I think I am qualified to have an opinion in this topic too!
I intend to add another category over time titled TBB’s Travel Hacking Arsenal or something similar. When I get around to it.
I made a slight edit to the name of one blog in the Blogs To Ignore list.
I am always looking for good arguments if any other blogs deserve to make these lists. Or insult me how wrong and clueless I am so I can laugh some more!
Please be respectful in the comments. What you say reflects…YOU!
At the end of the day, we all have choices. These lists are intended to be helpful to my readers and exist to satisfy the “educate” part of the TBB mission!
So, here is the latest edition of the TBB Blog Lists as of November 29, 2015!
Well done TBB, well done!
BLOGS I LOVE
Weed in Albania. Communist party headquarters in Bulgaria. Homeless people in Budapest. My favorite travel blogger. I enjoy every post, they are all unique and original! And the pictures are awesome too. Hope he posted more often.
How can you describe Twisted Sifter? Eclectic appears to be an understatement. I get this feeling that my life being is enhanced with what appears here.
Ok, not a blog technically. What they do is find flight deals. I recommend following them on Twitter. I get their tweets on my smart phone and I get excited every time. I also wished my home airport was not Detroit!

As expected, having known you for close to 2 years now.

This is only the beginning! ๐

Given Ingy’s latest post I think you need a fourth category for Blogs that Swindle. He has graduated from shady sales person to con artist.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
I can’t believe Internet Brands let that type of content through!
Raj says
What post are you talking about? I just went to see the last few because I was intrigued, but didn’t see anything out of the norm.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
In this post, the link to the Saverocity blog post HTs the offending post.

Thanks for the personal finance blogs list. I have an interest in that and will read and check them out.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
You are very welcome. That was the first batch off the top of my head. I have more but many get more towards the professional target reader…mainly kept this first batch to the consumer target reader.
Enrico Palazzo's Miles Points and Pasta's says
WTF Buzz! How can you leave off EnricoPalazzo’sMilesPointsAndPasta’s.com? Where else can you see the latest Amex Offers and get a great Fettuccine Alfredo Recipe all at one great site?

Oops my bad!
I still have that link to feature here with all the toilets but…I.am.scared ๐

I’m annoyed by your treatment of TiF. It’s wrong.
You’ve spent the past 3 years trying to get folks to 1) write posts that are original and actually help someone, and 2) stop the damn pimping.
Because TiF actually travels, many times to places *no one else in this space goes to*, that means his posts might not be 5x daily. Heck, it may be only once or twice a week. Because OMFG he’s TRAVELING. FULL TIME! Drew’s not sampling travel a couple times a year, he’s literally constantly traveling.
Buzz, I think I’m close to quitting you. I read through all the Amazon crap, all the ‘woe is me, spare some change?’ bleating, whining crappola. Because you USED TO do a service.
Gotta say, if anyone deserves to be dropped from the ‘blogs I love’ it’s…you.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Thanks for expressing your opinion, this would have never been allowed to stay at RP and MV ๐
I am not sure what else can I say other than that I still think TIF is still the miles/points blog in the blogosphere! I just want to reserve the LOVE blogs to be those that are TRULY exceptional!
I believe TIF had an amazing string of fantastic posts for a long time but not sure what has happened recently. I don’t think they ever stopped traveling so not sure I agree with your point.
This blog exists to entertain, educate and inspire. In that order.
I could be doing other things with my time.
Nobody forces you to read anything, it’s a free country.
Again, my lists are PERSONAL. Feel free to state your own here or start your own blog!
Now I am going to eat my fat free greek yogurt while I rest my bones after a bruising session with personal trainer.

I read on TiF a while back where Drew said he was working on a project, something big, and even stayed at a hotel by himself Shaolin monk-style so he could concentrate. I’m guessing he’s still working on it.
BTW if it weren’t for you, TBB, I would’ve never come across TiF and other fantastic resources! So keep entertaining, keep informing, and keep humoring!
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Yeah, still waiting to find out what that project was all about… #waiting
Thank you for the kind words. I’ll keep this baby going as long as I can, still way longer than I ever EVER anticipated!

TiF traveled with MMS. I’d put it in blogs I like too, after that.

Thanks Buzz, I lost a few days to Thanksgiving and work and so forth but here I am.
Looking forward to the arsenal category for blogs.
Going back to read the last few days now.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
When I say I will do something in this blog, rest assured it will be a LONG time before it gets done.
Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. I paid for it today at the gym ๐

Hey George,
Let me add my Brooklyn 2 cents to the blogs list:
twisted sifter: I am unimpressed with the blog.
DOC to me belongs in the love column. Tons of interesting stuff, including bank bonuses that could be a part time job in cash back.
TIF, I would not yet demote because of the great content in the past. However, the Award Wallet post was like someone who ran out of ideas and needed to blog something. I am surprised, unless I am mistaken that he has not put out a American Airline devaulation post. He is great at finding ways around airline restrictions, changes and stopovers. Maybe, he is working on one.
Andy’s the Lazy Traveller is a blog I like.
Howeve, I can live with your choices.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Thanks for a lot of feedback John, I value your opinion (as I value every reader’s!).
My 2 cents:
Twisted Sifter: it underlines “eclectic”, which is part of TBB’s tag line! I have seen so many things there that truly moved me. Like the link tomorrow coming up ๐
DOC: Definitely in the Like list, its place is assured. But nothing has moved me, at least not yet ๐ Definitely positively one of the top blogs in the space, a must read!
TIF: See my response above to DiffPaul.
Lazy Traveler: Yeah, definitely in the short list to add. Especially after what I learned recently, which added to the high respect I had for Andy. Love it when he rants. Definitely he gets the “hobby” angle and it shows.
Any other feedback?
Every comments counts, helps me think through/reevaluate my biased mind ๐
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Warning: With Cyber Monday coming up, and pretty much my credit card links forgotten, I may pump my Amazon link a bit more. But nowhere near like CSP FIRST FRIDAY lol!
Sam says
I can’t argue with the new, revised lists. Drew’s blog is ahead of many others, though I wish he and Carrie would write more about the strange places they go, and what makes them unique.
It also seems we need a new category-Maybe “Chutes and Ladders”-for blogs that not only pump the hell out of everything, but have also slid into meangless dribble. I’m thinking about Ben’s OMAAT. It was bad enough that he flew to so many places and never wrote about anything except planes and hotels. Now he has a writer whose only apparent qualifications as an observer or writer are that he is dating the boss. His first post bitched that the shower during the flight only lasred five minutes. Oh, man!
I recall when Ingy got his kids writing for FTG-anyone remember Shannon the Rookie?
When the insiders show up, I can almost hear the shark warming up for his next jump.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Chutes and Ladders LOL.
You may be up to something with this “When the insiders show up, I can almost hear the shark warming up for his next jump.” Burn out is taking over at that stage…
Thanks
