First! I need more miles so I can travel… I think I need to meet this “Kate” friend of yours…
TravelBloggerBuzz says
We all need more miles 🙂
This “Kate”‘s parents are way too strict lately. And she is down so much, she is just not reliable anymore lol.

If you so worry about your Alexa ranking ( what is that anyway??) – why not post what is long awaited by your readers ( at least some) – your strategy of winning the sweepstakes! 🙂
TravelBloggerBuzz says
At this rate I may post it in 2017 🙂
It’s in my head but I want to add some visuals and that takes time so I keep postponing it…one day, one day

Visiting the U.S. Embassy was the one thing that was not an option on my trip to Iran. We drove by it but was not able to visit and take photos. Interesting look in these photos, though.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Yes, very interesting indeed!

Well, I booked two sets of weekends at the Chicago Radisson Blu dropping off/picking up daughter in dance camp. Was the only dates I can come up with.

This is the best thing that could happen. A cheap currency will make the massive, high-tech, Greek export machinery competitive with northern Europe!
At least tourism to Greece could explode. I remember how cheap Spain was in the early 80s and attracted mass tourism in a post-Franco world. Nowadays most Norther Europeans dream about going to Thailand instead. Last time I went to Santorini it was infected with arrogant Russians. It made me wonder if the cold war days were that bad.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Guys, there is no more “Greek export machinery” any longer. And tourism is about to get whacked with a big increase in the Value Added tax so the assholes politicians can protect the govt workers and powerful unions. And the crap goes on. I am now seriously concerned if my ATM card will work over there, better bring up loads of cash lol.
Charlie says
And this is what is happening. Thanks to a comment made the other day, there was a run on several banks. And, it will happen again this week with the first of the month and the IMF payment due. It is not at all uncommon to have to hit an ATM 10 miles away because the closer ones are all empty.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Unless there is a deal.
At the end of the day, they will pony up the money because it is less costly for them. And they will kick it down the road, Greeks will so the absolute minimum to meet the conditions to do continue their old ways until we get to do it again several months later while the people go crazy…I need to get my mother out of there…
Andy Shuman says
Today, all [less] arrogant Russians are in Spain; they can’t afford Greece, let alone Santorini any longer. And the French are all over the place in Spain, which is STILL very cheap for Western Europe.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Russians tourist numbers are down across the board…

And the Germans are all over the Canaries. You haven’t lived until you’ve heard Guantanamera sung by 100 Germans drunk on Ron de Miel.

I can’t find Iran on my Hyatt map. Ergo it can not exist. The world is much smaller than you think.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Lol, yeah really!
