How I LOVE watching a movie under the stars in this lovely movie theater in my hometown Larissa, Greece.
It’s this small city-owned theater that shows movies every summer night starting at 10 pm. The nice breeze, the beautiful stars, the moon, the people enjoying themselves, the sunflower seeds, the drinks, the snacks, the intermission, the excellent movies picked by the local film club, etc. Every time I come here in the summer I totally enjoy every minute of it. Especially this year where I had the whole familia with me.
For many years this old man would come up right before the beginning of each movie and give a short review of the movie. He was the president of the local film club and was instrumental in convincing the city to renovate this place. And you could tell he was so excited to be there and just so giddy about it.
Well, this guy from the local film club was not that old so I wondered where the old guy was. Did he…oh oh I hope he didn’t. Well this younger guy proceeded to tell us how the city is vying to win the nomination for “European city of culture” or something like that and we all needed to support the cause and this is what the old guy would love to do and then…bang, they were going to propose to the city to rename this theater after him. Well, thanks a lot dude…many of us crying damn it!
If you ever have a chance to watch a movie in an outdoor theater in Greece you should go for it. It is one those magical moments that you may enjoy as much as I did.
After movie drinks with the familia just outside the movie theater. I totally suck in taking pictures but I am really very proud of this picture.
By the time you read this we ‘ll be spending several days at the beach using Airbnb for the first time.

I remember being in Rome during the World Cup final 5 years ago. They had set up an outdoor theater in some huge park. Well, all of Europe had outdoor screens for fan viewing of every game. What a great memory…

The Treasury Dept announced that they are looking to put a woman on the $10 bill and are looking to the public for input. So I say si,si,si or YES to Sofia Vergara and no way to Oprah Winfrey ( who would use photoshop to make herself look skinny, just like her O magazine covers each month)…………………………………….
Apparently that female bill will only be worth 78 cents on the dollar.
