Definitely looks like the Redbird era is over. First out on the blocks with the bad news that I saw was Doctor of Credit. All good things come to an end. Sure does not help having soooo many bloggers doing play by play MS hacks you know!
Get 50,000 Hawaiian Airlines miles THIS way. Or go direct THIS way.
Dear Future Miles and Points Blogger by Miles for Family. Yeah, she quit but she came back. Decent advice here, looks like she has found her voice.

This is fantastic advice how to deal with grief. Send it to everyone you know and tell them to use my links lol.
We won, we won! My soccer team, appropriately named “Gasping For Air”, had been on the mother of all no win streaks. We are talking at least 14 games, maybe more. We lost count. It has been quite the change from going on a win streak from December to May and winning the league championship earlier this year. Then, we lost some players, every other team found some young zingers and voila…Until last night. We finally won 2-1. Both from direct kicks, beautifully placed in the right corner. After being down 1-0. The shower after the game sure felt great! I celebrated by going to Pita Pit and eating another free pita the Moocho app gave me…again. Pita: Chicken souvlaki, so yummy!
I saw the movie 99 Homes. It is about the real estate bubble and foreclosure crisis in Florida back in 2006-2007 timeframe. Excellent movie. Shows you the real pain of what transpired.
And I leave you with this…

RE: The Running for Miles for My Family Mommy blogger: I used to track MommyPoints because I thought she had a good niche for family travel versus the “young bucks” and the “aspirational” dude and the “frugal aspi-irrational” guy.
I saw all of the “other” mommy bloggers as “knock-offs” and, in fact, got confused (and still am) as to who is who.
I don’t follow any of them anymore: I can get their coverage elsewhere and I don’t need (or want) to read about their travels. In fact, I only follow about 5 bloggers these days. Plus George of course, in case I want to get turned onto to something I might be missing….

I think we are all moving that direction….settling down with five or six bloggers…there is just too much stuff out there…thank God for this crazy George dude who gets through it to bring you what you need to know and…entertainment lol.

If family travel is getting comped SPG stays, staying at Hyatt hotels, and taking 19 vacations per year, I must be doing it wrong.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Hey, must bring in the conversions. You gotta make your readers feel like they are committing a felony if they do not have a ChaseSapphirePreferred card lol.

What will Frequent miler do now that redbird is dead?
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Lol…I am sure he will find something else to write about. There is another site that deal ONLY with Redbird…they are currently looking for another job…oh the joys of The Hobby

Miles for Family: ‘2) Unless you can afford to hire writers and work 24/7 covering deals, you’ll eventually realize that affiliate credit card program is pretty much the only way to pocket some profit for all of your hard work’
Not true. I think I get about 25 per cent of my revenue from cards. It is also incredibly stupid to build a business which is solely dependant on credit card commissions to survive because there are a wide range of things that can kill you – losing links (duh) but also the Govt suddenly deciding that you need a licence to pump cards, or the cards appearing on cashback sites with huge bounties, or the Govt ‘doing an EU’ and mandating an 80 per cent cut in card fees.
I mean …. from next year, Wal Mart UK will be paying 30 basis points to process card transactions, mandated by EU law. In the US it will be paying 175 basis points. How long do you think it will put up with that?
