The reason people in the land of the free spend so much on housing, transportation and food is because the first two are mostly oversized and because no one cooks a decent meal on their own on a regular basis… ๐

From high school senior year as an exchange student here in the US, I picked “Home Economics” class to learn about…economics. Instead, I learned how to make scrambled eggs and pancakes, real life skills ๐

Sure, size matters! But low interest rates have increased house prices more ($/sq ft). Countries with yuuge land masses have seen house prices going through the roof (Canada and Australia).
