We bring you an article about the credit card rewards war, visit cool global festivals and Prague, spend some time in Europe on the cheap, enjoy eating food from a naked person (gyros anyone?), go back to North Korea, check out a monstrous medical bill, check out life in America with six charts and deliver some beatings to these credit card salesmen bloggers infesting our hobby every day with the same freaking moronic pump pieces designed to enlarge their own pockets…oh, and more!

I can’t keep up with all the mainstream articles now: The Credit Card Rewards War Rages. Are you the loser? Nope, we are not. Because we know what we are doing. We almost always come out on top. It is the poor newbies who “discover” this hobby from the same old pumping bloggers who are doing it all to tell friends and family how to travel for free sell them credit cards. There are some excellent graphs and tables in the article, enjoy!
The 19 cheapest undiscovered holiday destinations in Europe. I must admit, I did not know many of these and many look fantastic!
Crazy Cool Global Festivals. An AFAR list. Monkey Buffet Festival, seriously?
Prague is probably my favorite city in Europe. Watch this orgasmic timelapse video, it is…shocking lol.
Well, if you thought the Prague video was shocking, you better watch out for this next one. Not Safe For Work, I don’t want anyone to get fired, you have been warned! I let people eat off my naked body — and yes, it turns me on. I better stop my commentary. This is the type of content that gets discovered in the TBB comments section!
I have been using mostly Vanguard broad based ETFs in my financial planning practice for many years. I still remember going to conferences and colleagues, after learning what I do, they were expressing shock and awe that I was trusting these “new” ETFs. Whatever. So now that indexing and passive management and low cost ETF investing is all the hype I am very concerned about the future. And I think we just hit the top (as in number of crappy ETFs that have come alive in the past several years; it parallels miles and points blogs wanting to cash in on the lucrative credit card affiliate business!). Why? Just learned of the Quincy Jones ETF that “will track the performance of the Quincy Jones Streaming Music, Media & Entertainment index“. When I first saw that on Twitter I thought it was a sad joke. But it was not! WTF to infinity!
More North Korea. Polaroids this time, enjoy!
This bill…#wow. Mom Shares Her Son’s Crazy Surgery Bill to Show What Will Happen Under Trumpcare.
Life in America. In Six Charts. We spend more time alone as we age…Sad!

Well, it looks like Richard Anderson, former Delta CEO, got really bored in retirement and jumped on the challenge of leading Amtrak. SPEND ALL YOUR AMTRAK GUEST REWARDS POINTS now, they are doomed #crying.
The hobby started its descent to hell when the Frugal Travel Guy cashed his first commission check from credit card sales. So many cheerful sales representatives…I am drowning going through these posts in Feedly. For you. I am not doing for the money you guys, 57 cents from June 12 – 26. WTF! Hey, I wanted to get Ingy to smile, he feels so important bragging how much money he made off that thing…I was going to make a few comments on this pathetic collection of credit card pumping…but I am going to bed.
This is all in ONE day. Click on the pic below and see what miles and points is all about… #disgusting. I can understand bloggers want to make money but this is just relentless pounding of your readers, extreme biases in the way they come up with “content” and…ah, phuck it, now I am really going to bed!
Many of the cards they sell they are available here in my site. Please consider your clicks to help bloggers you like to keep going and not become like the bloggers above. For the sake of humanity and world peace, thank you!

this medical bill is completely misleading.
Maybe in this specific case and with her insurance it really happened,
but overall healthcare is the biggest scam and f@#$up in this country.
It is a shame the richest country is not able to establish anything remotely
resembling European plans. Sorry, but this subject makes me angry.
TBBTheDude says
The subjects makes many angry!
Oliver2002 says
Also the medical bills is an example how atrociously high the health care costs have become. 22k$ for 14 days for room/board semi??? Thats 1500$ for a bed in a two bed room!!!
Last summer my wife had to visit the ER in Florida. They did an abdominal CT scan which cost 9000$. Upon research it turns out that is the absolute normal regular rate paid for by medicare/medicaid. Holy cow.

Paying till it hurts is a sad! series about this topic.
https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014/health/paying-till-it-hurts.html
Hip replacement in the US $40364 but only 7731 in Spain.
Colonoscopy in the US for 1185 or $644 in Switzerland.
Your favorite cholesterol lowering drug, Lipitor, for $124 in the US or $6 in the land of hobbits.
I think it is sad! that consumers don’t have a choice. And you can’t make an informed decision. EU can handle parallel import of drugs between member countries resulting in lower drug costs. Is Canada that different?
Elisabeth Rosenthal from that fake newspaper NY Times just published a sad! book called “An American Sickness: How Healthcare Became Big Business and How You Can Take It Back”
(“Buzz, feed your children by inserting your Amazon affiliate link)

Yeah, and NOTHING changes. Nobody cares. We have news like the epi pen prices
100x higher in a few months, public gets angry for a moment and then…
NOTHING. It’s completely crazy.
People are just all involved in the stupid politics, Trump vs Dems etc
instead of this. Crazy.
California just performed another political stunt, travel ban for gov workers going
to Texas and some other states because of the abuse of gay people there.
In the same time they are all free to go to Dubai where gay people really go to jail.
You have to love it. Cal universities are also very happy to accept dirty money
from Chinese communist party guys placing all their kids there. That’s OK.
But going to Alabama to train in the new BMW factory – no way!
MileageUpdate says
Unfortunately if we end up having Govt cut checks for Healthcare pmts to private companies this abuse will continue.
ABC says
One obviously answer is to change medicare Part D and allow negotiation of drug prices. Thank your republican congress and Bush for that one (2003).
TBBTheDude says
Hey, wait a minute, weren’t these guys supposed to be all for smaller government?
We can do better here…
Stay healthy my friends
MileageUpdate says
you dont think bush 43 was for smaller govt do you? I didnt think he even pretended like he did.

This just in:
OMAAT just posted grounbreaking news: Sheraton is switching bathroom amenity products from Shine to Le Grand Bain.
This is a real crown in Ben’s cap. OMAAT associate Tiffany has been pressuring Sheraton them to dump the Shine line for a while. Another of Ben’s investigative journalists wrote:
“So it is incredibly jarring to walk through a new or freshly-renovated room in a fun hotel to discover the same crummy Sheraton Shine bath products I’d find at a junky airport hotel.”
Incredibly jarring? You bet-Tell ’em, bro. And we all know about thise junky airport hotels, don’t we?
Raffles says
To be fair …. I suggested to management at a unique Hilton (14th century converted monastery) that they ditch the Roth toiletries because they had the least-Hiltony Hilton in the world and the Roth stuff just ruined the atmosphere they had created.
TBBTheDude says
Me thinks OMAAT may be up for a Pulitzer after this?
Lol.

This country needs a single payer system. It ain’t poifect but it will provide medical care to all who need it.
Tax cuts for the rich aren’t necessary. Neither is appropriating a lot more for the military than they requested. But medical care for those in need IS necessary.
TBBTheDude says
We need to fix this…
With the ones in Washington DC right now, not seeing it.
My idea to come together and call it Trumpcare by actually fixing the several bad things in Obamacare…obviously did not go anywhere…
We need to take care of our own, the most vulnerable hit hard by whatever life has thrown at them. Lifetime caps & pre-existing present policies must stay. I HATE paying for them but…it could well be me or you that gets whacked.
Thinking about the relative with the strokes. 46 years old, still asleep after 3 weeks, opened one eye and responds to some commands, it will be a life long relearning process it appears.
I need to go fix my bike up, free tuneup, yes!

Chris says
I hate to be cynical but single payer will never freaking happen. Single payer means that all insurance companies go out of business. They will never let that happen and will spend the billions they make to lobby against anything close to single payer.
People who think that single payer is an option are just delusional… Hence why the ACA was the compromise. Good luck trying to do better.
ABC says
Works in Germany. 30-40 something independent experiments run in various OECD countries. Pick the best from each country and you may have something/
“Can the U.S. learn anything from the rest of the world about how to run a health care system?”

TravelBloggerBuzz says
ACA has many flaws.
But I thought it was a decent start. Instead of hollering and screaming to replace it for 7 years…and then when it was time to put up or shut up they (so far) have come up so short and putting the most vulnerable people in danger…well, what can we say?
We are the richest and most powerful country and we should be able to provide health care. It’s just sad we are even talking about this. Or still fighting to make all financial advisors fiduciaries at ALL times….That’s just some basic shit…and we keep failing. Sometimes I feel USA is equally schizophrenic as Greece. Some shit you just can not explain…
I need to get some sleep!
John says
As for health care, I got sick in Malta when to a Doctor it cost 10 Euros. Another time, I had an allergic reaction and checked into the InterContinental in Moscow, I asked if I could get a doctor. I had a doctor come to my room within 2 hours and give me a shot plus RX. This cost me about $80 (all eventually reimbursed).
Try that in America. 😉
