Excellent story about the Financial Independence, Retire Early movement. Which I think is a lot of hogwash. But I will save that beating for another blog post, if I ever get around to it. This is an Excellent Case Study: Self-Employed and Free with excellent advice on how to do this. I did it about twenty years ago and never looked back! I left a very lucrative job which would get me to FI sooner too but I did it anyway. The subject of the blog post goes into why he did it and then goes over all the reasons we frequently offer to ourselves why not to do it. If you are thinking about it, it is a great read! I want to see where this guy is a year from now though….having to do everything yourself sometimes it proves to be that it is NOT for you. But no regrets then hey?

For the record: Renespoints posted on Twitter that the site is losing its Amex credit card links on September 26. Guess how many blog posts were done since then (as of write up time September 30)? Yep, ZERO. With these offers actually being pretty good now. Update: Well, it appears they may be back as of October 1st as we get a glorious post about a metal Amex card lol.

Iâve given some thought to your comment about doing a parody of the MMS Interviews. Then I thought about how TBB really could use some revenues. So I asked myself âWhat would Hef do?â. That led me to the idea a new edition of Sunday TBB posts called:
âThe Women of MMS Friday Interviewsâ.
It goes like this-TBB circles back to the girlfriends and wives of the (mostly male) bloggers who have been featured in the interviews. We ask them questions about how life has been since âMr. Bloggerâ pulled his socks up and filled out that MMS questionaire. Has it been just one long vacation, or has she started to see the dark side? Ask her some questions like Hef would-whatâs her favorite color? What kind of people does she like/dislike? Does she like broccolli? On and on, blah, blah.
Then we get to the good stuff, the nudes. Now I bet youâre wondering how someoneâs gonna get these gals to âslip ito something more comfortableâ-like nothing. Easy-do what Hef did: Convince them that by taking pictures of them naked, weâre really empowering them. Show the world something Mr. Blogger doesnât have. Yadda, yadda.
Now hereâs the money shot-or I should say the credit card shot. When you get down to where almost all the clothes are off, the last photo has them covered only by a few stategically placed credit cards. And the only way TBB readers can get those cards out of the way is to-here it comes-click on the card and apply. Now thatâs an app-o-rama we can all drool over. Well, most pf us anyway.

You are all wrong, and are thinking in the past. There are only 4airlines that matter now, it is an oligarchy. Nobody is going into Chapter 11 to drag down pricing and all 4 have shown capacity restraint, so the industry will just down size during the next economic downturn.
Terrorism? No! The TSA dog and pony show and more importantly….Locking the Kevlar Cockpit Door and arming the pilots and having crew and pax assist/resist policy, will prevent another 9/11.
Leave the industry analysis to industry professionals and intellectuals, like myself please.

A day behind but catching up on TBB. The FB algorithm had not been showing my old college neighbors post from her “Girls Trip” to the route 91 festival. Her timeline is so crazy, its the standard crazy vegas stuff, even videos from that night of an earlier performer! Then nothing…thankfully she and some of the group were amongst those that lost their possessions in the madness and had made it to safety. She wrote a long post and basically said she will never be the same after that night.
