We bring you the best road trips, amazing Dunes photos, what the true salesmen incentives are, show you how to be flying Delta using Virgin Atlantic miles, more podcasting about travel and miles/points, how American doctors are helping injured kids, the #1 moron Jacob Wohl, and we go on and on and on…no one knows for how long. Not even me. Enjoy your week!

I have done some of these: The Best Road Trips in the USA.
This is just super cool! The United States of Elevation.
Heartbreaking to see some of these kids: American Doctors Are Reconstructing the Youngest Faces of a Brutal War.
Amazing photos of dunes by John Francis Peters. Just click on each pic to get a new one…it will shock you! Or maybe not 🙂
Sometimes I feel like we are living in a freak show. The Disaster Artist. Jacob Wohl is the perfect man for his times. Oh, he sure is.
Young Jacob has emerged as one of the sketchiest, sleaziest minor characters in Trump World, a man-child who is equal parts grifter and conspiracy theorist. He’s Roger Stone without the class, Don Jr. without the intellect, Laura Loomer without the rage, Tomi Lahren without the breasts, Dan Bongino without the hair plugs, Diamond and Silk without the YouTube channel.
Amazing photos! Winners of the 2019 BigPicture Natural World Photography Competition.
Charlie Munger, Warren Buffet’s longtime deputy at Berkshire Hathaway, was asked in a recent interview at the Wall Street Journal by Jason Zweig this question: “How should brokers and bankers be paid?”. And this is his answer. Compares pretty well to the @$#^ing credit card salesmen in this hobby huh?
We are now entering BLOG BUZZ, a section for advanced hobbyists and veterans of this fast imploding hobby and also a section where I go on and on about some stuff that happens in my life because it helps me feel better about myself.
This was a really good post: How to book Delta flights with Virgin Atlantic miles. I find it amazing Virgin Atlantic has not devalued like all the others…
I think this blogger does not like him lol: Gary Leff is right that a ban on usury will make his scam harder to run. But should you care? The post gathered some interesting (and a few delusional) comments. For the record, it is NOT me who commented as “George”. I did not comment on that post period! Where do I stand on this?…Maybe some of these people who have been paying for our traveling for free for so many years, maybe, just maybe…they can use some help in not getting screwed? Yes, it will dilute our rewards of course. But I think we will all be better off…And I am not going to place a bet that we will see this happen. Because I only bet when I am 100% sure I will win. #winning 🙂
Son will be flying Qatar and Emirates in the near future. Where do you usually credit the flight miles? I spent some time trying to decipher the Emirates ticket class codes and I am still traumatized lol. In general, which US airline will you credit them to?
Who won the most ridiculous blog post since last time we did this? It came to a tie you guys:
2 Year Old Bitten By Dog at the Centurion Lounge: Who’s Responsible? – View From The Wing [I did not click as there was no shocking video LOL]
When Food Was Free On British Airways… – Live and Let’s Fly [Ok, headline is not too bad. And then this “Each week, my Meal of the Week feature examines an airline meal from my travels over the years. This may be a meal from earlier in the week or it may be a meal served over a decade ago“. Come again…a DECADE AGO????? WTF!!!! Why would anyone be interested what you ate aboard some plane a decade ago? Unbelievable…]
Never understood all these scooters around in cities. We now have them in Ann Arbor too. They look like prime injury target market candidates…I almost run over a few the other day!
Drew doing a really good job with my friend Dave podcasting. Next up was Stefan. You won’t believe who will be here next! And no…I won’t be listening to it most likely.
I ran a half marathon on my own again at local Kensington Park. Plan was to go longer but I listened to my body when right leg started cramping lol. My last long run before spinach pies start in Greece woohoo.
Good job Portland for beating Denver in Game 7. I did not expect it. At all. They deserved it, Denver choked, sad. And that Leonard shot at the buzzer and the bounces…wow. Two very exciting Game 7s in the NBA.
And I leave you with this…This dude!

HT to Frequent Miler for publicizing yet another booking edge that wasn’t in wide circulation. I’ll be surprised if the Virgin–>Delta trick makes it to the end of the month.

I bet he has a “Virgin Atlantic kills deal/devalues/raises fuel surcharges/etc and you should burn because airlines can not be trusted so you have to adapt” blah blah blah post in draft ready to post!
Drew and Dave is like the Larry King comeback…do these guys ever ask a tough question?
“It’s all about the conversions”
Thanks Rick for your contributions to the “hobby”
As you say…and the beat goes on, good luck in Greece!

The Larry King reference was funny 😉
Would you rather have FM kill deals or MMS?
It’s a business. It has payroll. This hobby started its decline when “apply for 7 cards at the same time with my tool” Ingy cashed his first sales commission check.
I am going to enjoy my last business class ride on LH tomorrow you guys…

Virgin awards were a bit better last year than this. Mostly international availability. No SkyTeam partners. Domestic nonstop hard, domestic connecting very hard. Nothing much or at all within 21 days. A bit too sparse to exploit to the point of changing things. What is more worrying is Delta taking over their IT, the VS app booking is now a mirror of the DL app and that speeos trouble.

If you can be near the Four Seasons Astir Palace or in Corfu in late May I can buy you a beer!
TBBTheDude says
Thanks for the offer, highly unlikely. Sticking around Larisa, landing in SKG where I pick up a rental car.
That Four Seasons looks really nice. I have actually never been to Corfu…I hear it is overrun by some British tourists 🙂

Qatar –> AA, unless you value Avios more highly.
Emirates –> Alaska is not even a question.

Take a look at the Emirates page…trying to decipher the ticket class…is like trying to learn a new language or something!

BUY BUY BUY…..did some bargain shopping today…..Mr. President will not let the market stay down for long, that is his own barometer of how he is doing as Preisident…..when the tweets come out to lift the market again and everyone feels happy SELL SELL SELL. Then rinse and repeat….this has been the greatest, most profitable market rollercoaster ride ever….. Bought on sale today VMW (VMWARE), ADBE (ADOBE) and DELL. Might load up on some more TWLO (TWILIO) later, they are giving it away.

If the market tanks, i’ll be driving for Lyft.
Cramer Krinklesack says
The market will tank BECAUSE of Lyft, Uber, Netflix, Tesla, Spotify, and all those other companies that have never and will never actually make any money… I still can’t understand why people keep giving them money to light on fire…
ABC says
As a Morgan Stanley wealthclient you could have bought Uber at $48 per share (and a 2% fee). But you can’t sell for 180 days. Meanwhile the stock is now trading at $37.
Sh!t happens when money’s for free.

Lol…yeah…really!

But, wow, what a debut hey!
