Are you looking to burn some miles to Asia? In case you missed it, here is again the guest post that has everything you need to know: Asia on a Business or First Class Award – Best Options!
We are starting to see more cross partnerships. Hyatt & American Airlines Partnership Now Live – Link Your Accounts Now. I am actually typing this right now at a Hyatt lol.
Then, we had Lyft announcing yet another partner, Hilton Honors this time. Or just go straight to the linking page.
Were you wondering how many partner points you can get on your next Lyft ride? Lots! Earn Delta, JetBlue, Hilton, Shell, And More Rewards When You Use Lyft! Amazing how many ways Lyft is adding to lose money…but I digress.
This is getting way too often lately…As in Hyatt just keeps adding more properties to its lineup! 14 More Hotels Join the World of Hyatt Program – Award Categories and Locations!
This is a comprehensive guide in earning IHG points. My wife mentioned visiting Zion National Park and the post gave me an idea to burn a free night/points in a Holiday Inn inside the park! I welcome comments about this idea!
Speaking of IHG, they introduced brand #249: Atwell Suites. Just because hotel chains don’t have enough brands these days lol. First one to be build in 2021 so who knows how many more brands will be announced before then? Actually, it is brand #17, not #249…
With the proliferation of loyalty programs and the continued marketing of credit cards in a hugely deceptive way…of course no one will warn people to NOT add more loyalty accounts because the more you do…the higher the probability that some stuff may happen to your data which you will then have to resolve at a great expense of your time and sanity. I need to continue to get rid of more accounts I sparingly use. I think I am down to 98. It was a milestone when I got it under 100 lol.
Why Rewards for Loyal Spenders Are ‘a Honey Pot for Hackers [ Of course all the pseudo journalists at TPG will warn the readers about this. Bwahahaha]
I am not sure about these Florida men you guys lol: Florida Man Retains the Right to Announce Via Window Sticker That He Eats Ass And no, there is no shocking video and yes there is a pic of him smh.
Incredible short film about motorbikes in Taiwan, wow.
I am anti gambling. Fiercely. And it is because of something similar in my family. Be careful out there. Gambling kills! Losing More than a Bet. Some totally crazy stats of how much people lose every year! One time I went to Las Vegas many years ago I had some lose change in my pocket the last night before we left and I spent all 35 cents (maybe it was 55 cents, don’t remember) in slots and that STILL bugs the hell out of me!
Very cool. Some you find it unpleasant. Or worse: Visualizing Monthly Mortgage Payments in the United States.

We are now entering BLOG BUZZ, a section for advanced hobbyists and veterans of this fast imploding hobby and also a section where I go on and on about some stuff that happens in my life because it helps me feel better about myself.
My Lufthansa Business Class flight from Detroit to Lufthansa was typical. Plane was brand new with the new seats which I found a bit too narrow actually. My seatmate was a guy who worked at Ford in connected vehicles and we had an interesting conversation and learned a lot. Food was average and service just typical German. I much prefer the flight attendants from Asian airlines I must admit 😉
Taking a shower after a long flight across an ocean is always great. There are so many Lufthansa Senator flights in Frankfurt and the one I chose to go this time was brand new I think, easily the best lounge in Frankfurt I ever visited!
The food in my Aegean business class flight from Frankfurt to Thessaloniki was fantastic!
Landing in the Thessaloniki airport in northern Greece and saw a guy in Arrivals with a T shirt, a la Nike mode with “JUST DO nothing” in the front, welcome to Greece!
I am in my hometown Larisa as you read this…

You were on a A346 built in 2003-04. The seats were put in ca 2014. Some people actually maintain their aircraft… 😀

This looks like the C lounge in the A/Z section. Opened in 2012. :p
Aegean serves the same meatballs in economy but in an aluminum tray 😉

I am no plane geek at all. I thought card said A340? If what you say is true…holy cow, the plane looked brand new! But I must say I preferred the older seats!
You are right on the lounge, yes A/Z section. For some reason, this was the first time I visited that one. So much better than…the old tired crazybusyAmexCenturioncrazybusy A26 one!

A340-600, aka A346. The A26 FC lounge is now a business lounge, you visit it. They still have the bathtub, but no ducks handed out. The lower level A26 lounge has been refurbished but only for elites.

The kid and I were in line in Las Vegas waiting for dinner. Time for the gambling lecture. Put some quarters in the slots while we waited. Paid for dinner. Darn! Couldn’t even loose.
TBBTheDude says
So, your kid saw you win? Man, you need to deprogram these moments from his/her brain…hope it is not too late!
baccarat_guy says
The “worst” thing that can ever happen the first time you gamble? YOU WIN.

There is no holiday inn inside Zion park.
There is an old time lodge with small rooms, but charming still, that you could consider.
The Holiday Inn is outside the gates, along with 2 dozen other hotels. You will have to line up with the HOARDs of people to get in through the gates and then queue up for the shuttle buses.
My only advice is to go on a weekday.

Going to Pho Green Papaya per your rec. this weekend w/The Old Bat…..what should we order?
Bluecat says
Try all the Bluecat favorites:
goi cuon (prok + shrimp)
lemongrass pork Bun
Pho tai
and a lemongrass pork sandwich to go 😉

consider it done….thanks…….what other restaurants are you featuring?
Said it before…. I’m liking this Thai Delish Restaurant, might be better than I AM Thai Restaurant, takeout is for sure.

The Chinese restaurant near me has Chinese owner on property. His cooks are all Mexican and Guatemalan illegals. I only ate there once, I wasn’t digging their Mexican take on “Chinese” food.
Another interesting thing about Chinese food… they just call it food in China…that time in Shanghai was awkward.

Is it racist to think or assume all hispanic people are here illegally? Im sure if you actually interacted with people you might find out some have actually done it the correct way and are here legally

Pho green papaya is the classier version of pho house deli…no sandwiches there tho (I got confused)
Got takeout yesterday from iamthai. Would never eat in there tho…too old for those asinine picnic tables.
I hate yelp. Everyone who posts there thinks they are so clever

Here’s some better advice on Zion NP…forget using the shuttle and instead bring your bicycle and BIKE into the park. Hardly any traffic except for the odd shuttle bus, so you have the road mostly to yourself…and no waiting for, or scheduling around, the shuttles. I wish every US Nat’l Park was similar. Highly recommended.
Bluecat says
Bikes would definitely be great there.
But Zion is mostly about hiking, IMO.
Now That's A Spicy Looking Meatball says
Meatballs are underrated, imho
But more importantly, TIF podcasting with Gleff, WTF!……….Ok maybe not more importantly.
I just do not get it. The relationship! It makes no logical sense to me. Does/did he do ghost writing for him like he did for MMS and probably others?
All I know it is a big turnoff for me as far as reading TIF, and NO I did not listen to the podcast. Seeing Gleff on that old Steven Colbert show (forgot name of it) was enough GLEFF to last a lifetime.
George what is your take? HI MOM!

Disappointing to see TIF bringing in the likes of that. Takes my opinion of him down just a tad.
TBBTheDude says
I have not listened to it yet. For some reason, TIF’s feed in my Feedly account is screwed up, I don’t get notified on all new posts.
I made my feelings about this guest to the cohost. Lets leave it at that, we have different styles.

Ah yes, Florida! A unique place! Every country seems to have its own “Florida” (in terms of people/culture, regardless of weather climate)…what region is it in Greece?

Too many to count

That many redneck places in Greece? Please name the top 3 redneck places in Greece.

I started to listen to Drew’s podcast with Gary. I almost fell asleep, which was dangerous since I was on a stationary bike at the time.
