On one of the Miles to Memories podcasts, someone on it bragged about how they managed to totally kill it using Alaska miles to Asia and the stopovers. By the time I listened to it, the deal was killed. And I stopped listening to it right at that moment.
The day after I linked to a God Saves The Points post, Gib comes out with a major love fest post for his idol over at View From The Wing. At least there was no shocking video of that, smh!

If I was a normal blogger I would be all over selling it to score some big time commissions as it appears to be another company giving money away. I don’t have time to test the product myself and I think this is another company looking to be bought out before….the money of investors runs out. If I had time to try it and test it thoroughly I may be comfortable referring you. But I am too busy doing other things. Like blogging about my running. I never did the Amex self-referrals as I figured it would only be a matter of time before the RATs came after me, and I was right. Not worth the risk with those guys sniffing around. Though I think they should have a time limit to come after things – definitely no later than a card being closed. Too bad Amex doesn’t invest some of their RAT funds on improving their customer service, which used to be awesome and now is middling at best – and often sucks.
Speaking of things that have gone downhill over the years – I didn’t know they were still doing those stupid MegaDOs. And TPG involved now? Blech!

Detroit is becoming my favorite Delta hub so I’m not surprised that it has
introduced the old-fashioned rule that you can go with friends / family
to the gate without a boarding pass.
In the other/non-Delta terminal, downstairs by the luggage pickup area, there is an Italian restaurant Cantoro. They have an Italian marketplace and a restaurant in Plymouth, MI and I love their pastas. I have not tried the location at the airport yet. But if it is as good as their main location it may be worth visiting IF you have the time and put up with the shuttle buses.
Good to see these programs expanding finally…it’s only been almost 20 years since 9/11!

Yeah, I could sell a lot more if I stopped warning readers about Cap1 cards and went all in with SoFi. And actually responded to numerous shady outfits wanting to help me “make a lot of money” with affiliate marketing crap!
Disclosure: Not even a single credit card click the WHOLE week, not even by accident!!!! And finally some Amazon clicks on Thursday/Friday after a long silence earned this blog about $7. By far, the worst part of blogging you guys! Hello to the first commenter below who will bitch at me for whining lol.
