A really nice comprehensive list of credit card benefits. I bookmarked it, maybe you should too.
If you missed flying on WOW Air to Iceland, here are the US Cities that have non-stop flights to Iceland now.
This place looks great! 40 Things to Do in Madeira. I need to check if there is a Hyatt there lol.
Can you imagine seeing yourself in Pornhub one day omg! Airbnb has a hidden-camera problem.
Looking forward to more posts! Two Weeks in Algeria and Mauritania.
Interesting post…if you are into coffee that is. The Best Coffee in Every State.
This is hilarious. And may be deadly if you are the recipient of a slap by the first place guy yikes! Competitive Slapping is the World’s Greatest Sport. Only in Russia of course. Warning: Lols ahead!
I think this article is fair and right on! Taxpayers Are Very Confused. Fewer returns are in, traffic to the IRS website is up, and everyone’s complaining about refunds. Why?
Well, this is pretty cool. How does this TBB dude do it? Ok, too early in the week to whine…These are all the world’s major religions in one map.
This looks totally awesome! Carrières de Lumières: An Immersive Art Gallery in a Disused Quarry.
Another awesome find for your beautiful eyes! How The Tech Giants Make Their Millions.
And now we are entering BLOG BUZZ, a section for advanced hobbyists and veteran miles and points blog readers.
@SPG Assist has been Bonvoyed LOL. Missed already, sad!
Hmm, very interesting findings about them Delta award sales: Delta SkyMiles Deals Are Getting Weirder and Weirder and Why It’s a Good Thing (Plus More Delta One Suites).
I’ve already aired my theory that Delta “SkyMiles Deals” or “Flash Sales” are not really deals or sales but rather their newish business model. Why? Because these “sales” often stay live beyond their expiration dates, and Delta rarely advertises the best deals, which, in my opinion, makes no sense when you run a “legitimate” sale.
Well, after bloggers repeatedly blogged about this…the most ridiculous thing is they are getting upset while they continue to sell Chase cards, sad lol. No more free stopovers in Korean Air awards after June 2020. Yeah, 2020….talk about giving you enough time so you don’t bitch!
There has been a flurry of posts from the big bloggers about Ethics lately. My thoughts. I expect Live and Let’s Fly to do one too soon… Again, why all the hate all of a sudden towards TPG? Are they seeing an opening to capitalize on some of newbies over at TPG looking for more “ethical” blogs? Very interesting indeed. What I find amazing that they only very briefly mention the credit card money while they pound on the “no free travel” boring stuff….As retired FTG blogger Ingy told me “It’s ALL about conversions”.
Wait, I guess I was not the only one wondering about this sudden blogger urge to blog about their ethics! Even Mile Nerd in his monthly post found it really weird. In yet another free flowing hilarious post, he writes, among other things:
Right then, the phone rang. It was a reader calling to let me know that bloggers, with straight faces, are now posting about ethics. By far the craziest part of this day yet.
It’s a bit fuzzy, but the conversation went something like…
READER
MileNerd can you believe these shadyass bloggers are bragging about having an ethics policy?
ME
My phone must be messed up. That made no sense. You said pathetic philosophy, right?
READER
No, ethics policy.
ME
Poetic hypocrisy?
READER
Ethics policy!
ME
Unapologetic Dishonesty?
READER
Dude, that doesn’t even rhyme.
Had I had entered a state of shock? My ears seemed unable to hear this information because it was so deeply nonsensical. Should I see a doctor? Should I find some marijuana?
Nah, I should probably just take a nap.
…
Suddenly, the phone rang again. I jumped up, startled. It was another longtime reader…
He confirmed the craziest part of all…that bloggers are talking about ethics. Apparently, getting away with theirbullshit isn’t enough anymore. They now want to be patted on the back for it.
And then it finally hit me…
Wait a minute…
Tiger Woods isn’t a virgin.
McDonald’s isn’t a health food restaurant.
And the sharks disguised as dorks aren’t tone deaf enough to talk about ethics.
Nobody could have that much nerve.
Grant’s latest app-o-rama and the interesting results. Do you remember the good old days we used to do at least 7 apps at a time?
Will this be the third month in a row this blog does not get ten credit card conversions? It will make the decision to evolve to a once a month post like Mile Nerd so MUCH easier #nojoke. Now that this blog is losing money because great guest writing is worth it. Oh, expect another awesome Wednesday post about awards.
So, enjoy my little blog while it lasts okay? It’s been like this…for 6.5 years now.
And I leave you with this…Watch the guy at the far right corner, LOL!

Greetings from Charlottesville! We’re heading back to Charlotte after breakfast. I’m pleased to report we have not been #bonvoyed on our trip.

My guess is all those bloggers ran their April Fool’s posts a day early – the ethics ones.

Sorry about the blank reply. I tried to insert 4 emojis with thumbs up for the great comment about the bloggers’ ethics statements being April Fool jokes.
It seems the TBB website does not work with emojis.
Buzz is way too ethical for that.
DML says
The ethics posts problem! Something to think about.
Kevin says
I filed my taxes federal and state taxes on March 16th, I was sure I’d have to pay. I wasn’t able to itemize as I have done for the last few decades (new standard deduction). I got a sizable Federal refund direct deposit on 22 March and my State refund on March 28th.
While I’m still waiting for the taxes on a postcard bullshit, certainly not complaining here.
Sam says
Hey Buzz-
Where’s the TBB Ethics Statement? You know that anybody whose ethical has one.
Maybe start by stating that TBB will never accept commissions for more than 50 credit card applications per month.
Sam says
Of course I should have written ‘who’s eithical’ and not ‘whose ethical’.
I’m as bad as Ramses.
Anonymous says
Sam you are not that bad!

Has anyone sold iConsumer stock yet? I have about accumulated 44k of these iDracmas just from buying VGC’s and they are burning a hole in my pocket. Any takers?

bluecat says
I’m not sure you are thinking of “Ramses”. Maybe “Ramses II”, though, who was quite the character and possibly a model for our own Ramsey.
Speaking of which, Ramsey, I’m going to be eating a Stroopwaffle (or 3) in your honor in just 4 short days from now. Next to some tulips or a canal or something…
A. Fool says
thanks R. will def check it out…..the Davis Frost mention thing was just a little bit of our dry American Humor.
@ BLUECAT says
@BLUECAT Did you know Amsterdam is known for it’s pancakes, permissive drug culture and it you look hard enough, super hot Ladies in the Windows…..of course you do!
There is a very popular recent documentary called SEATTLE IS DYING, that you can easily find on Youtube. It could of easily been called PORTLAND IS DYING! Their city is looking like a third world city too, lately.
Have a good trip and don’t waste your money on the Live Sex Shows.

Oh, and the tulips

Everybody wants to see the Mueller report. But why isn’t there a public demand to see Bezos’ dickpics?? Everybody’s talking about Bezos and most of us have never seen a body part worth $100 billion. All the talk about collusion between AMI an the Saudis. Show me the evidence. As Bob Marley sang No dickpics, no crime.

As a good churner, I refuse to pay for tax filing. I did them by hand last year (downloaded pdfs and typed, unlike my mommy who literally does them by hand) but couldn’t figure out the complicated ACA form this year. So I decided to look into the free software options for poor people. Found freetaxusa which covered all my bases (none of the other ones support schedule C) and worked great! I even took the QBI, whatever the heck that is! Also discovered that everyone in my state can efile for free, regardless of income. And even if you’re over the limit AGI-wise, the IRS has a bare bones site called freefilefillableforms that does basic calculations for you (you need to know what figure goes where though, it doesn’t hold your hand). The more you know! *shooting star*

That GIF is from Alan Partridge, a spoof BBC chat show …..

We saw the Carrières de Lumiéres last year in Paris. It was the Gustav Klimt version.
The good: Allows people who wouldn’t otherwise be exposed to an artist to engage with the artist’s works.
The bad: It’s just videos and gives you only a surface exposure to the artist, the art and provides no intellectual understanding of what the artist was attempting to convey.
Summary: Like a tribute band.
Come on, brown sugar, how come you dance so good? Yeah, yeah, yeah, wooo.
bluecat says
Correction: a tribute band in a very awesome concert hall!

Been buried with finishing up the last few tough tax returns and now quarter end work. And just returned from late night soccer game in which we got our asses kicked!
Behave over here, be nice to Ramsi or I ll close the border and then we start marching to the White House…may all end like this you know.
I love this gif, I laugh every time!
TRUMP 2020 says
I am absolutely sure the overwhelming majority of Real Americans would like our Borders protected from people walkng over it and the becoming the care child of the American Taxpayer. I just read that a local school here has to be able to provide language assistance to 27 different languages….. ALL in 1 school, WTF…………….I know through my wife’s work (collecting money for her 27 Doctor practice) that only 29% percent of their patients now have insurance to pay their bill, down from 75% when she started working there 12 years ago. This is a practice that had to layoff half their admin workforce and eventually sell themselves to a big med. conglomerate to stay solvent. No shortage of very sick babies though.
The people who want open borders are those who crossed it already and their family members.
George please watch SEATTLE IS DYING on Youtube ….goes for PDX too. It might explain all my hostility.

About to puke over the bloggers suddenly pretending to have ethics.
Raffles says
You don’t need an ethics policy. If you’re doing the right thing it’s clear. The idea that I should, do eg, make a charitable donation if I am given a travel ticket to attend a media event is just laughable.
TPG, by the way, genuinely does ‘pay its own way’. I have stood at a hotel check-out desk with a TPGer who insisted on paying for a room I took for a free to attend an event. I did not feel less virtuous.
