Yesterday I had the longest run since straining my right calf. 9 miles. In PR time (okay, that was the second ever 9 mile run lol). No pain. Aiming to beat the 21 miles I run all of last week. Here is yours truly at beautiful Kensington Park in Milford, Michigan.
When I make a decision (like, I mean a FINAL decision) I just do it and do not look back. I quit the NFL the day before the regular season started. And you know, I am NOT regretting it one bit! Obviously, the sucky Detroit Lions help make me feel good about it. Life is too short for…brain injuries from concussions and stuff like that.
More about the MEGA PURGE I am doing online of blogs, followers, etc. Time to focus, focus , focus on more important things and stop wasting precious time!
And I leave you with this…What it feels like when a reader taunts blogger by telling him/her they go out of their way to not support them, sad!

Busy day!
The PFD family made it through 36 hours of rain and wind with a dry basement and without a power outage. It wasn’t as bad as it could have been, we had something like 8″ of rain, though it was probably double that an hour to the southeast.
A few years ago we did a week at the beach at Emerald Isle, NC, a mile or two down the road from Swansboro, which reported 34″ of rain. Lovely area, sad to see. It was an extremely slow-moving storm.

I think NYT and WaPo are doing pretty well. In general, you are right but there are a few winners. We’ll see what happens. Interesting that the Salesforce couple blew $190 million on TIME. I saw a graph recently how Trump won all the counties with the lowest local newspaper circulation (yeah, some had none). Rings true…and sad!

George, did you ever hike/climb Mt Olympus?
Yes! But it was when the kids were very young…Actually, I think my daughter was a baby. Oh wait…maybe it was before she was born. I don’t remember!
Because of that we did not do much. We parked at the first station which was not very high and did some hiking around, not challenging. But you can go higher and the hikes up there are very tough! I read regularly how rescue crews go to retrieve hikers up there all the time. I remember when I was a kid my dad drove us there and I still remember it! We were driving through clouds, something that has been deposited into my memory bank for ever.
I think the hiking friendly infrastructure has been improved too. Back then, it was not very easy driving to it!
Sounds cool. Wife and I are doing more hiking. Haven’t been to that part of Greece yet though. Too many cool things to see in Greece, may never get to them all!
